After I import the DXF file into Inkscape, a popup appears after the DXF Input popup saying, "inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected. SPDMODE is ignored. A point is displayed as normal. " The file does import, although the scaling is extremely tiny.

Hmm, I haven't experienced that issue before sorry.
@jesuscoria5675 Жыл бұрын
@@TimRobertsSound On the DXF Input settings under "Method of Scaling", I selected "Read from file". That helped fix the scaling issue. The message from my previous comment still showed up, but everything seems fine. My part was small enough for me to print on paper from Inkscape and physically check if it was to scale.

What are you needing help with specifically. The process of moving from Inkscape to your laser will depend on the laser that you are using. This guide was for a Trotec laser that has a print driver for sending to the laser.

hello Tim, nice projectduino.! i m building my own midi project too and i would like to ask you this: it s my first time having and using a pressure sensor mpx5010gp so i was wandering why there is no air out.... should i have to build some kind of t shape connection so air goes out with a valve on one side and the other to sensor? any advice? many thanx
@TimRobertsSound5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there's no air pass through, so a t piece is a good option. I had mine in a tin whistle, so that some air would flow around the tube and some into it for the sensor. This is a project I should revisit at some point with 3D printing etc.

Hi Ilham, That's not something that I can really do. Particularly as it's for a final project. My advice would be to use depth information for each of the joints and define a physical area, so that when the foot is in that area, a sound plays. You can also use the location of the foot to set an area for skin detection.

Does the MPE on your Eigen require any different settings on the Preen to take advantage of?
@TimRobertsSound6 жыл бұрын
I haven't made use of MPE yet but it's something that I'm interested in. The PreenFM and PreenFM2 don't support MPE, so this is just standard poly midi. Also, side note, MPE didn't exist when I made this video. I should do some more Eigenharp videos.
@danogden42916 жыл бұрын
Most definitely. I just picked up a Linnstrument with the idea of taking advantage of that same feature (plus it's more familiar to me layout-wise as a guitarist).

Great set and sounds! Can you tell me how you connect pico to circuit? Though what?
@TimRobertsSound6 жыл бұрын
Bhaskar APolonsky Cheers, the pico goes to a computer with the midi output in workbench set to circuit over usb. I can sequence and record midi in, and then that will play to the synths, but there is no pass though.
@TimRobertsSound6 жыл бұрын
Additionally, I used the midi message matrix and the circuit notes to set the strip controller to the right macro knob cc. The starting of everything using the pico happened by default.

@@TimRobertsSound yes -pico was nice!- can you suggest any way to connect it to iPad?
@TimRobertsSound2 жыл бұрын
@@andropolonsky There are a couple of options, but most aren't simple. If you have a Mac, look at IDAM. On PC look at StudioMux. You can get cheap MIDI USB interfaces that you can connect using the Camera Connection Kit. I would recommend v3 of the kit, so that you can still attach power. The final option is MEC on a Raspberry Pi and a MIDI USB converter. It would be great to plug it straight in, but that's not an option at the moment. I hope that helps.
@andropolonsky2 жыл бұрын
@@TimRobertsSound Thanks a lot for your Answer! Midi interface - CME widi UHost - that it? - I will try with Organelle -I has MEC and ORAC - but cannot upload it yet)- have you tried Organelle?
@TimRobertsSound2 жыл бұрын
@@andropolonsky No, I use one of these: bit.ly/3pibh15. There is a Raspberry Pi binary for the Eigenharp created by Technobear that uses MEC. I haven't gone through the process of setting it up though. You will need a computer of some kind to convert the Eigenharp data into midi data. No I haven't tried the Organelle, but it's on my list.
