7:50 this is NO sound dampening! This is DRONE dampening - which is not the same! Pretty much bitumen, which I use since decades in every car that gets new audio. This is NOT doing anything against sound (=through air). To do anything against that you need OPEN CELL material. Like foam. Pretty much what you NOT want, wen your car can get wet inside. PS: To work against DRONE (which one should after removing the original) you just need to cover 30% or so. Not everything, does nothing more if you cover everything. As this is body-sound.

My brother and I were spectators at this event, I was all of 19 ,my brother was 13 ,was arguably the best/most exciting time in car culture, literary every event records were being broken 👌 I remember the Croydon auto sports gtr absolutely deafening everyone on launch lol Or when the turbo on Robs devilish s14 exploded blowing the door off in the process 👌🤣 My favorite part of the time was the rotors ,rx2 3 4s poppin wheelies in the first 3 gears And the battle of who would be the first 6 second rotory, crazy to think they're in the 5s now 🤯👌 Yes technology is better today and cars are faster but the early 2000s was super exciting, obviously no social media so everything was always a surprise and that just made it so much more exciting 👌

Desirable car for sure as Skylines are, however I go back to the Datsun days. This is where I reckon Japanese Nissan performance cars kickstarted from. My favorite is the 1600 (510, still kicking myself I sold it) 240/260Z and all of the Fairlady range. I also have a softspot for the Skyline HR31 (nearly bought one in the early 90's for 12k but bloody got cold feet DUH!).

Its a shame alot of the big OG Japanese tuning companies aren't involved as much as they used to be. Id definitely love to see HKS have a crack at a new drag car.
