Forget the alignment 'device' - just put a toolholder in the toolpost and run the cross slide up to the chuck jaws, square up to them, tighten nut, job done!

im confused, do you play the trumpet or are you trying to keep secrets. For all we know you bought it with power cross feed. You didn't say one word about how you did it. What's the point? Good idea but wish you would have shared some info.

if you had watched part one ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4mQqmOoiqeWobc ) you wouldn't have been confused and you would have noticed that power cross feed didn't exist before. please watch it, don't be confused.

OK -I'm 2:27 in and i've already seen everything I want to. You basically retrofitted the "big lathe functionality" onto this turd. I'm gonna watch the whole video, butI don't think I'll get answers to my questions. Nevertheless - well done. Even if you don't share it with the rest of the world. Also, I'm only 2:30 in and I consider this a clickbait.

Well done!!.....I am in the middle of planning a powered cross feed for my lathe and this has given me some great ideas.
