Assault can be amazing in moment to moment gameplay, but (there always is a "but"): - Other classes have much more impactful team perks/synergies - On average Assault takes much more skill to reach similar results compared to other classes (more on that in the next bullet) - AoE weapons such as Melta/Multimelta/Bolt Rifle with Underbarrel GL - these weapons do the same job Assault usually does, but wihout putting themselves at risk in melee, without timing the parries/dodges, etc. They can just dodge -> left click -> dodge -> left click... while also healing much more and much easier than Assault heals in melee (who arguably needs healing much more than ranged dps) I love Assault and it is my main, but relative to other classes Assault isn't in a good spot.

As a heavy main playing with an assault who knows what they’re doing is beautiful thing.

What do we think the upper limit for response speed is? I have a suit that dual wields sabers at 198%, and I can't tell if it's too much, or if my skillset from GB2/3 isn't transferring over too well.

At what lvl with assault did you start to be able to get those damn purple tokens from substantial difficulty...i just struggle so much to finish the missions on that dif and i'm lvl 13. need a better weapon unlock so bad...

I just mastered trans am as a skill, but when I equip it to a mobile suit that doesn't have that part I mastered it from, I get that weird hologram that looks like the part I got the ability from; anybody know why?

let's start with the fact that throughout the entire operation. you almost died 10 times. This class is truly the worst. 90% of his perks are useless. The jetpack is useless. the hammer is useless. when compared to other classes. but the fact that you were able to complete the mission. I can only say. that you really know how to play the game.

For a class called Assault, you have to play so defensively it’s ridiculous. Bulwark can play way more aggressively

Im curious, I dont pay for Playstation online and dont have a good enough pc to run online games, I pay for Gamepass and other stuff. If I dont have online, is there still plenty of content and stuff to get or is any unlocked behind playing online.

Do you know about the special dodge cancel tech? You can stack the compiler anomaly buff by pressing the special button first and then immediately cancel it with the dodge button. You'll get the buff even if you cancel her special within 0.01 seconds. You can either do this 3 times in a row in about a second before a burst rotation or you can special dodge cancel dodge > dodge counter on encounters where you get attacked alot for a perma buff and no extra step (free). This only works if you have no EX bar though. If you do, you have to empty it first. That part makes me think it might be treated as a bug and get fixed, although I hope it doesn't and they rather also make it work on EX as well. Because compiler still doesn't beat her signature even with this, but it's actually usable even outside of Rina teams and gets a good 2nd place while being more technical and fun to use, at least for me.

no pvp, slow combat/movement, and a nearly non existent enemy A.I. makes this a tough pill to swallow for someone who has been a fan of the breaker games and the anime for many years. how can a game from a franchise about war not have some kind of vs mode in 2024?

Its by far the most engaging and fun class ive played. I do think it needs at least quicker skill cooldowns, i never use the Assault boost dodge which i would love to, but the jump slam is much more important 99% of the time due to long cooldowns

I gotta say…I still think Assault needs some love, but it’s not nearly as bad as I once thought it was. Now that I actually have the class maxed out with better weapons, the class performs much more consistently. It still struggles against Thousand Sons, but against Nids it absolutely shreds.

Post game content you get to unlock/earn MG kits. They are a lot bigger than standard HG suits much like the kits and usually scales to what ever is your current level Also by having fun with the scaling you can ramp up the scale/size of the kits to match perfect grade kits, tho not the bosses version/giant but just like the size of the model kits you buy for realzies

that damage was an auspexed tyrant, with a heavy spamming multi melta shots into it. this isn't even that impressive you can melt this thing triple as fast with some melta bombs auspex and the tactical with grenade launcher attachment on a bolt rifle.

I'm glad you acknowledged that Tactical/Heavy in the description. Because, I was going to say -- most of that damage was them. Good video, I'm working on leveling up an Assault now -- seems like they're better utilized as distractions rather than raw damage. Hopefully they see a buff to that jet pack or damage eventually. o7

Loving the game, spent like almost 300 hours in 3. Will say this, I have a few nitpicks with the game. The EX skills creating a holographic limb when mastered is really lame and kinda takes me out of it a bit, and the GN drives particle effects not changing color based on the glow color like they did in 3 is a huge step backwards for 00 based builds. On a less nit picky subject, the upgrading system is total ass. It was perfect in 3, and the need for special materials as the only way to raise rarity at all makes making good parts a pain. Combine that with the largely unimpressive new subskills and the suits feel very watered down when it comes to actual abilities. The 2 basic EX actions for each weapon type in 3 was huge, and I used at least one of those in almost all of my builds they were so good, so it's also a bummer seeing them go. Again, I am liking 4 a lot, and the customization is easily years ahead of 3, but when it comes to actually upgrading and using the suits, I can't help but want 3 back.
