Just wanted to add a note. Yes, one day we got a phone call. Someone recognized him getting rocks thrown at him by teenagers. Luckily we got there in time, called to him and he ran into the car. But he was never the same after that. We nursed his wing back to health, but once he was better he left. A few months later he came back just to say hi, and show us his new mate and their family, He stayed around for awhile, but was not comfortable enough to live with us anymore, thanks to those bullies.

This was cute. Reminded me of when we nursed a Maggpie we found abandoned in it's nest that was only a couple days old. He was so good, and smart. He lived inside in the winter, but had a large cage outside in the summer. But once he figured out how to unlock we just let him come and go as he pleased. He always came when we called his name. And used to fly off each day looking for my dad coming home from work and would land on his car and ride home the last couple miles on the top. He was great.

Please tell them to watch him closely when around other people. Especially those who would hurt him. Some people are just plain mean.
