Eat, sleep, play, that's a bichon's life, eat, sleep (on you), play. If you want a dog that does something other than those three things don't get a bichon. If it's not eating (bichons have a strong food drive, they will over eat if you let them!) or climbing up into your lap to sleep, it wants to play. They're the best dogs I've ever had!

Mine is adorable, but a challenge. At this very moment, she is growling gently to remind me that rubbing her belly is more important than posting online.

Bichon's are adorable little dogs. I just lost my little girl in the last month. I miss her so much. She was fourteen and such a loving companion dog.

I like to try and take my Bichon Frise to new places whenever I can, he loves snuffling around and exploring so it has to be good for him. He's happy on buses or in cars, so it's not difficult.

A brisk walk??? My bichon does not do brisk! He absolutely loves his walks, which we do multiple times a day, but no one could ever describe them as anything but a sedate plod.

Can you tell me anything about the French Bichon Frise? I’ve owned regular sized ones. 1 I rescued, she was a love and I had her for 17 yrs. We got another 1 and she too was perfect. I had her for 16 years. I didn’t think I would get another one. It’s been 2 years. My husband surprised me with a French Bichon, for my birthday, 4 weeks ago. Well, we were both surprised!! She was so tiny! I asked how old she was and he said 6 months! Impossible!! I said she has to be sickly.No, read the paper work. I did immediately, and she is only going to be 10lbs fully grown. 😮 I explained to him, he’s older and he’s almost completely deaf. I’m sure he fell in love and she was so small, licking him and didn’t hear clearly enough, 😢with 3 people talking and him counting out thousands… I adore her. She’s so small and beautiful. I can’t give her back, he tried so hard to surprise me ❤️ She’s wild! I let her blitz around the 1st floor, she sleeps like a dream from the first night. She’s chewing everything! There is nothing she doesn’t have, 2 different baskets of toys ,literally 100 choices. I took everything away and gave her 6 chew toys. She’s chewing like crazy. Like the end of my coffee table because dad fell asleep in his chair 😂 Help!
