the problem is you cant sprint all the time and every time you start sprinting it takes a tiny bit to actually start sprinting. Sprinting IS faster though

How do you move so fast? It took me 2 hours to beat him on nightmare playing on steam deck at 90 fps, I used standard stick for moving, and during these 2 hours I was in a constant stun lock. Did you just not get hit? Or do I not understand some of the technical or mechanical aspects?

Check if normal movement in the movement options is set to run, if yes it should be the same

Sonntag Morgen such mir oft Speedruns aus zum Frühstück. Hätte nicht gedacht das es Speedruns von Risen gibt. Aber Du hast mich eines besseren belehrt. Schöner Run hat Spaß gemacht :)

Was looking for a levitation scroll. Now I know Costa has one. This was more useful than the wiki. Are there any other I can get early game?

I remember one scroll in a chest in the room of the Inquisitor, you can use a scroll to open in if the lock is too hard. Theres also a corpse at a way somewhere around the habourtown with a lev scroll.

I just did this for my first ever playthrough of the game, but at 240hz. Had no idea it was bugged, just thought it was retro jank. Took me like 50+ attempts. Came here looking to see how other people handled it and found your video.

I was wondering why there aren't any runs with that a close to your time, then I started to try that junkyard skip myself, idk how you pull that off in a clean run. Took me like 5:17 or something to get it the first time, after another 4:20 mins I manged to do it a second time but and then I gave up, probably would take me months to get it under a minute. Smooth run, a ton of respect.

Thank you :) It was used as a backup strat for bad/failed runs but then it actually happened. Kinda killed the category though. Best time without the skip is a 12:52

Geht nicht darum, dass keine Glitches verwendet werden. Es geht darum wie es sich für den runner anfühlt, also eine art runner freundlichere Kategorie. Und (bisher) ist es noch WR :)

thanks for posting this i was playing the game on 165hz and i thought this boss was just impossible for no reason then when i read the description i switched to 60hz and beat him first try

I think the regular fight is actually really fair. The restricted movement at high hz is what makes it kinda dumb.

@@ChakaZaluu Ah ja, nun, ich hab keine DLCs und werd mir die auch nicht leisten. Dafür ist der Wiederspielwert zu mies, wenn man das Spiel so gründlich erkundet hat wie ich. Man kann auch so schon fast alle nicht verbuggten oder nicht nutzlosen Fähigkeiten auf einmal lernen.

Right after you press a dialogue option, you have a brief window (1frame) to press esc. If you got it just save and load manually. Now you're able do save in the dialogue. Now every time you load within a dialogue it starts over again and you also get the "rewards" in that same dialogue again.

@@mathiasno6750 Any% sollte gehen, man müsste am Ende nur einen Flug etwas abändern. Würde die alte Version empfehlen. Ist von den Controls auch etwas angenehmer. (Steam -> Rechtsklick auf Risen -> Eigenschaften -> Betas -> original 2009) ansonsten, wenn du den aktuellen Patch probieren magst das gleiche nur "public beta" auswählen.

Würde generell eher die andere Kategorie empfehlen, für die gibts auch Tutorials ( www.speedrun.com/de-DE/risen/guides ) das von mir ist auf Deutsch. Für den "richtigen" any% run gibts kein Tutorial aber ist relativ ähnlich und falls darüber hinaus Fragen bestehen, und du noch Interesse hast dann gibt auch noch einen Risen Discord: discord.gg/mrd9by6
