Unless your work is paying, do not bother with the live seminar. At least the one I was in and a couple other guys I talked to from other ones. Had a really cool teacher but the seminar did absolutely nothing to prep for the exams. AWS practice questions are nothing like what is on the exams at all. It's pretty weird. Like you said, it is almost like they want you to fail so that they can make more money.

Im a welder inspetor in Brazil. I know that i can do the process here. But i would like to know, is It possible to do ALL the process there in the USA?

Go to Real Educational, significantly increases your chance of passing 1st try. It isn’t cheap but is the best prep group out there. Their in person prep course is intense/tough but is so good at prepping you for the exam. AWS seminar is a waste, I agree. Also, tabbing and highlighting the codebook can be good for studying but is entirely useless for the exam, you just don’t have time to scan through tabs and highlights, you have to already know where the answer is. I avoided tabbing and highlighting for the D1.1 part C, scored a 93 with 20 minutes left. The best way to study for the code is practice questions, and look up the answer first with the code reference to the correct answer. It is incredibly effective at training your brain on where the answers are and why. Practice, practice, practice works.

Did you say if you took the seminar also?

Atlas is a good company. I ordered a full kit from them. Was like.... 1,440 something.... but that was also tools and plastics. I'm on part a chapter 10 now. I'd recommend it. It's expensive. But younget what you put in, fellas. Pay to play

Saw this video a year before taking CWI exam and after year of studying passed. Part B is hardest, ATLAS online class was awesome...

How long do you have to be a CWI before you can take your CWS test im having to quit welding due to asthma but my boss is putting me in CWI school after that im planning to go farther up hes a very stand up boss for not giving me the boot glad to been with him 20 years

Feel pride in that you passed it in one try. Anybody that took the test after 2016 took a much harder test. I took it in 2003 studied a friends 10 modules studied for a week or so passed with a 86. I let that lapse took it again Dec 2022 took the seminar and averaged a 79. They made the practical much tougher and the code portion. A lot more questions and a shorter time.

Sounds like some kind of equity bullshit with that language discount crap.

Once i spend all the money pass the test, then what do I do to even be an inspector lol, like where do i learn the things the job entails? lol Im so confused buddy if you could point me in the right direction that would be cool. Someone said can be contracted to issue certifications, any insight would be great thanks bud.

I'm a welder but I never had any schooling for it, in fact i went to college for business management and just became a welder by pure coincidence...My job trained me to read prints and to mig and tig weld to specifications I've been welding for the past 10 years...now I want to get my certifications. I don't know where to start. Should I get a welding diploma 1st? What books should I get, what would be the easiest route to becoming a CWI and CWE?

I bought the full course and have completed the fundamentals section already. How long did you study the whole course and did you still take the seminar? People are acting like I still have to take the seminar right before the test.

Good video im going with Alas, testing in july, I was thinking about buying the weld replicas, but $360 is ridiculous, Im wondering if you tried to resell your set to get some of your money back? not a deal breaker but curious

I went with SiCerts but i'm gonna get theses replicas, there closer to the real ones as I just took part B Sept 28th 2021, part A and C here soon. Both are good site to study with, wont condone either,I believe its personal preference. Nice vid though.

Would it be a good idea to read the entire Book of Specs and memorize/remember everything you can?

Taking my Part B this Saturday. I've been studying this Atlas course w/ the replicas since July. Thanks for the helpful video. I was wondering how relevant all of this material was. I 'm in the "week of" jitters stage and this put me at ease. lol.
