I wonder if this repainting would work for the G1 Metroplex...it'd be pretty boss considering that KO of G1 Metroplex (and soon a KO of G1 Metrotitan as well) that's out there. Naturally, you wouldn't have the ability to combine that with G1 Fortress Maximus due to the size difference, but I wonder if it'd work with Zeta's/Toyworld's "Ford"/"Infinitor" Fort Max...🤔🤔🤔

@@DragoonMS I think you could definately repaint any of the city bots for a similiar look. If you Google "custom Autobot City" there may be a few others out there.

Just opened my SC02, and yeah it looks a little cheap and flimsy but actually it's not, it's actually quite nice. Could have used to diecast in the feet to add some weight maybe but a great looking figure.

I am glad they upgraded the hips . I had a terrible and funny breakage . I was setting him up in my display cabinet and my fall of cybertron Optimus fell off of a stand and whaked Megs leg with his axe and cut it clean off 😂 I was so sad and laughing at the same time.

I think the Studio Cell Unicron is the only Practical Figure, most don't have room for the HasLab Unicron!

Hi: I believe this kit was released about 13 years ago which is before I was collecting. The best way to find one is on eBay or in one of the Facebook groups.

the haslab is part of the earthrise toy line, that is what it is based off of which is why it doesn't match the 86 movie as much

I didn't realize just how big the Haslab figure is. Damn. I definitely prefer Cell as the Unicron I want but I wouldn't mind getting the Armada one as well.

Understood. The lights are neat if you are doing a photoshoot, but not necessary after putting the figure on your shelf. The batteries on some of mine were starting to die and I wasn't able to disassemble the plastic to get to them.

Unfortunately, I don't have an original 1986 Fort Max so I am not sure.

@@drichardson007 I ended up buying the 86 fortress maximus cuz I saw a pic of your base on google and for some reason thought you built it with the old one, I already had Metroplex 2013. Me and my son are going to try and build what you did with the old fortress maximus.

I think Studio Cell is the best ... very good engineering and very solid ... the size is not a problem for me, maybe someday somebody does an oversized version ... I want the Pumpkin ... ❤

Nice, now will it get a proper combiner form, by change? Like say a more SDF-1 (Macross/Robotech) or a late gen. White Base variant? Bit of a shame, Fortress it's upper torso can't be placed upside down, under the Metroplex one. Or that two sets of arms, can't be turned into engines, with the hands forming the engine bells. O well, nothing for it. Say, would the Transformable Ark, fit in, into this build, as part of it's engine section or so?

Hello: I have a configuration of this in full autobot city mode, have painted the figures from the "Behold Galvatron" set and will try to paint a backdrop as well but my progress has been pretty slow. I will probably stop at the Fort Max/Metroplex combo as I am pretty satisfied with the look and can still fit in my case. ✌

Thanks for making this comparison. I've seen a scarce number of reviews for second chance and I never considered it because of how cheap it looks, even compared to the Hasbro toy, but I'm glad to see you gave it a second chance comparing it to both the Hasbro and Planet X figures.

Hip joint breaks have been reported on the regular edition, yes. However, Planet X stated they upgraded the hip joints on the Metallic Pluto release.

Yep, the lights are definately included with both versions and the orange plastic itself is exactly the same color.

Cell is pretty perfect to the animation in planet and robot. Haslab is SUPER stylized and barely resembles the animation. Dude is big though. This was interesting.
