I had a real need to hear Jimi at full blast today. I thought of you first! I had to rig-up my front room stereo into a wall of sound. Now we can play! Are you experienced? I wish I could spell! Sir Thanks-a-lot 4 this tune! see U soon! Grak 7/03/24

Thats not peoples peoples..Wheres the feedback...the screeching...try again.
@davidrotter3862Ай бұрын
I wasn’t allowed to do it. The club owner literally ordered me to turn it way down. Any tube amp turned down is muted and the sustain that I was getting is feedback! If I wasn’t getting feedback, the notes would have died, and they didn’t. The notes lasted as long as I needed them to and I was plugged straight into the amplifier, with no pedals! If I do not get feedback, then the notes die. These notes did not die, this by definition means that your criticism is unfounded because I was indeed getting feedback. Also, like I said, the club owner ordered me to turn my amplifier down. With no pedals and a turned down fender tube amplifier, I would like you to show us all your version so that we can see and hear just how it’s supposed to be! You have no idea what you are looking at. This is not my band, these are my friends at a club late at night after the club had closed! Cheers 🍻!!

Wow Dave, that sitar-like sound gives me inspiration! Do you use a EHX Ravish Sitar pedal by coincidence?
@davidrotter3862Ай бұрын
@arno-luyendijk4798, thank you 😊 for listening and for commenting! This is the DLX 12 String being played through an EHX Canyon Delay. I would go on to purchase the Ravish Sitar pedal. If you want to hear what that pedal sounds like, please checkout my video called “Matchless Gifts” Cheers!!
@arno-luyendijk4798Ай бұрын
@@davidrotter3862 hi Dave, I already have the Ravish myself. Another EHX pedal, the attack decay in combination with a fuzz pedal delivers a likewise sound.

From a technical point of interest, being also on the path of making soundscapes with my pedals and electric guitar: is it correct that I hear a tc electronic hall of fame reverb here, and maybe the Boss Sy1?

@@arno-luyendijk4798 good morning good sir! I’m curious as to which color you chose… (Sunburst - Cherry - Black?) May I suggest a Reverb pedal…? The most versatile and off planet 🌏 Reverb Pedal is the Meris Murcury X. It is a tad pricey and worth every extra cent. I do think that SY-200, 300 or 1000 will be a tremendous addition to your sonic Palette! I have a new channel called “Find Your Tone” I have no videos as of yet because I am creating them and need them to be in a rather particular order! Keep up with your great attitude and create, create, create! Have a great day bro 😎, and may the Rott be with you!
@arno-luyendijk47985 ай бұрын
@@davidrotter3862 HI Dave. At the moment I have my goal set to save to replace my Triumph Les Paul for a Hagström Swede or Super Swede. As for the reverb, I have to sort it out still: the Meris X may certainly be a potent ambient reverb, but I have my eyes set also on the GFI system Specular Tempus Delay and Reverb pedal. I will visit some listening reviews to sort it out, thanks. I have to say that the Meris will probbly win having an input for an expression pedal. Wish only my wallet grew the same pace with my wishes ....
@arno-luyendijk47985 ай бұрын
@@davidrotter3862Hi Dave, small update. I think I have made my decision: the Strymon Nightsky will probalby become the new reverb addition. It has a more synthy mode of producing sounds and for the ambient plans, that's more what I have in mind ( and it has an input for expression pedal which the GFI systm has not, so that is clear already). I will relegate The Hall of Fame 2 for jam sessions and the like, it is still one hell of a useful pedal.

@davidrotter3862 Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, Jack! I am not all that positive myself about how that sound came to be although it is my sworn intention to make pedals do the opposite of what they are meant to do. Things like no dry signal, making up for latency by anticipating the next series of notes and if a pedal can be tuned, then that gets thrown in for good measure. I want to tell you how much I enjoy your videos and that I greatly appreciate you checking out mine. Have a great weekend!!

@dsr studios, Black Patti should’ve signed with Slash/Warner in 1987, if we had, this conversation nearly 35 years later would be way different. If we tripped at Madame Wongs, then you had to have come by the old homestead on 11th and Carlyle in Santa Monica, right?
