Man that is pretty bad when you have to put a zip tie on your cages. Next time you use pigs feet take them out of the freezer about 3 or 4 days before you drop your traps they will smell real good by then.

Good stuff! Looks a lot like Allapatah flats. My archery season, for me starts 9/28. Four day hunt. And then. A week later, my buddy has the next 4 day hunt. I have two tips for you ,that help me a lot. 1 is a 3 liter camels bak. You can find the military surplus ones for cheap! I fill it halfway, with ice. Then the rest with water. Keeps the center of my back, nice and cold!! 2. dump those rubber boots. And get some good dive boots, with a heavy sole. I use a pair made by Mares. Extremely stealthy and comfortable!! I wear them with dress socks. Like a polyester or nylon. Never even notice them being wet. Stay safe! In that heat!! Best of luck!🍻

Lotta work for a few crabs and no fish. Looks like you were up river around the Ft Myers bridges. I never had much luck there after the Army Corp allowed so much Lake Okichobee crap to be released. RUINED THE FISHING AND CRAB around Cape Coral...

There’s better days than others for sure. I don’t normally fish the river but I do crab it. I live close to downtown so it’s a quick trip to get out. I agree about the Army Corp of Engineers screwing things up.

An ipilot is in the plans for the boat. Got this boat recently and trailer work, a good chart/bottom machine and a few other things had to come first.

@thecamocanoe sounds good to me. We have some property in Labelle that we hog hunt on, plenty out there, but its been really wet out there and that has changed their traveling pattern. Plus they are pretty nocturnal this time of the year, its been hot.

Nothing like hunting the Hills and Hollers in Kentucky.. I couldnt hunt that hot out. Hell i wait till it cools off to bow hunt its about mid September.. But if i grew up there I'd be doing the same thing. You oughta come up north to Kentucky and look me up. We have big bucks and beautiful gods country to hunt here. 👍👊 And i know all the good spots in my neck of the woods brother👊

I just started hunting the last couple years. Like you said, it is good to have a purpose while walking through the woods. I like hiking, but when you are scouting or still hunting, I get so much more enjoyment out of the time. Plus I see so much more.

I hunted the first 5 days zone A this year, hot as helllllll!!! Saw a great 4 point i shouldve shot and a nice 10 point was taken 500 yards from me

I live in upstate New York and I love hunting here because I like the cold but I also love florida. From a hunting opportunity standpoint is florida a good state for that?

You have to be able to handle the heat. I’m in Southwest Florida and it’s brutal right now, but it’s what we’ve got to deal with. Northern Florida archery comes in later, and it may be cooler then. As far as the game, our deer are smaller, but it’s what we have. We also have A LOT of wild hogs that can give you year round fun.
