SEPTA is currently in the game by acquiring new diesel-electric hybrid buses from New Flyer. Bottom line, both SEPTA and New Flyer started this tradition years ago by acquiring buses to replace all Neoplan AN440 and NABI 40-foot buses. SEPTA also acquired new 40-foot and 60-foot buses from NovaBus to replace the remaining NABI 40-foot buses and all 155 Neoplan AN460 buses as well.

SEPTA is in the process of replacing the M-4 subway cars with newer M-5 subway cars. Plus, SEPTA is also in the process of replacing the Kawasaki streetcars and suburban trolleys that are 43 years old with newer streetcars and suburban trolleys that are manufactured by Alstom.

Nice video, the rails must've been recently been grinded. I seen a video of the rail grinder car being towed after a derailment a few days ago.
