I think the idea that women won’t understand us so we should stop trying to explain our perspective isn’t really thought through. We’ve literally been changing our gender roles as a society for decades, it just also takes around that amount of time to see any substantial change. We might not ever fully understand one another, but the second we stop trying to is the second we start to lose each other.

i think soft boy era is good. you’re never gonna live up to the societal expectation of what a man should be. stop trying to aspire for it. stop beating yourself up bc you don’t meet the standard and DEFINITELY don’t blame women bc of it. there is a certain level of comfort due to familiarity that comes with trying to be a “man” but it’s a false comfort, and we all know it is unfulfilling. especially for my black and brown brothers, it’s exhausting to try and meet an expectation that was really only meant for white people in the first place. to say that women won’t change is naive IMO especially since it’s women that are really the ones driving this conversation about male gender roles.

Kevin Hart seems like an amazing, fun and energetic person to be around.
