@@antoniushasan9612 this is not a Shotokan version. It completely misses everything about the actual kata. No one in Okinawa recognizes this kata. Kanazawa, who was expelled from the JKA, just made this up. People need to stop calling this Suparinpei. Its offensive.

From my POV WKF-"styled" Karate is dead. Even though this Kata is nicely presented, there are severe stylish flaws like the in-between-step when turning in Neko-Ashi-Dachi, not to mention that the Kata ended almost 1m from the starting point - somehow I doubt that most "champions" do even have an idea on what the techniques of the Kata and the word "Kata" itself mean.

okay i have to disagree a little bit here. "traditional kata" isnt focused that much on "looking good" is more about the execution of the technique etc. however in WKF they need a way to score all katas from every style equally so the judges can only really look at speed, power and stances, the judges dont look at how "correct" the kata is. also the idea of katas having to start and stop on the same place is ridiculous, the rule was invented in jka competitions for no real reason. if you look before that was even a thing katas used to end way of from the starting point.

Way too stiff. This is a Goju Ryu Kata. It’s all about block soft and strike hard. He is much too stiff. My sensei used to say Karate is similar to making love. If you are to stiff it will end too soon. You need to show the soft side of karate.

Red could have a lot more power and better timing . a neko ashi dachi before the kick in the 4 sick sequence would’ve made a big difference
