Looks awesome. How the heck did you attach it? I saw the rods but how did you screw those into the wood? Or did they just go in the holes and sit in there?

Why not CNC the higher end board, then just hand finish? Save time using equipment you already have to produce the higher end and more artistic looking product. And the small board looks mass produced. You could add simple touches to it that are artistic, but time efficient to increase the market value.

Thank you for the comment. There is something about handmade in the USA that my clients find very appealing. on the hand-carved butter boards, there is about 1 hour into them but on the larger charcuterie boards, there is quite a bit of time.

@@ArtisticEpoxy Yep. Trick is to retain the handmade appearance while working as efficiently as possible.

If your interested i have a huge burl i would like to sell. I live in Grants Pass but off the Merlin exit. It's about the same size of the one in the video if not bigger.
I thought cottonwood was too soft to use as a table? Does the epoxy make it hard enough?

I do not doubt the craftsmanship and skills that went into making this, however, I honestly don't think that it looks great in terms of color and shapes. The "river" looks green and mossy, and doesn't look like flowing water, but more like a thicker liquid. And the contrast between the red and orange in the wood finish and that greenish blue is not great. It gives it a dated look and won't make this piece timeless through the years...

The only thing I don't like about your videos is that you don't show finished product enough, especially when it is lit up with the leds. Just make your ending longer to showcase the finished piece with all the bells and whistles (and LEDs) including how it looks on the furniture once installed. thank you, Mike Fox

Thanks Mike for the comment. I agree with you . this is one of them that I wish we would have showed the lights and hang longer. We do have a video of us replacing the lights because of the contractor broke them. Let me find the link.
