​​​@@arrow1042 its in the Yashahime manga ( you know the new manga that has interviews at the end from both Rumiko Takahashi (she explained how she choose adult Rin as Sesshoumaru wife- because she was the one who changed his heart the most, she personally designed Towa and Setsuna's character design, she was too busy with her other manga's to help with the Yashahime anime, but she was much more influential in the Yashahime manga) and Takahashi shiina) On the day Naraku died, Rin had been traveling with Sesshoumaru for several months, granny Kaeda offered to take in Rin as an foster child- until she was old enough to choose "return to Sesshoumaru" or "human village life forever"- During this time Sesshoumaru rarely visited (mostly just dropped off gifts at Kaeda house) as not to influence her decision too much. After she became an adult, he began to visit her more and more - and they fell in love. Nobles can't marry commoners so He denounced his birth right as "the next dog general of west" and let Inuyasha have the title. As an late wedding/giving birth gift he gave her an mansion with servants (all elderly male youkai servants - he didn't want any female servants) and he was going to let the servants raise Towa and Setsuna - because that's what nobles do - but Rin wanted to raise them herself. Because Kagome/Inuyasha/granny Kaeda (foster mom)/ Sango/ Miroku/ Sango's twins, gave her so much support in growing up in the human village/ falling in love/being pregnant/ child birth - she choose to remain living in the village, to get their aid in raising the twins, instead of living in the new mansion out west. He choose to support her decision. But the comet and Kirinmaru's awakening forced Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha's families into hiding - they fled and hid/live at Sesshoumaru mansion out west for some time. Read the manga for more.

I love inuyasha and kagome but as the story goes you'll eventually develop an attachment towards sesshomaru and rin

In my opinion, its obviously shesshomaru & rin, dude went to despising humans to actually love & care for them. Character development yall. And as for inu & kagome, it feels like kagome is just a second choice for inu since his first love was kikyou. But still, great couple i guess..
