I had similar problem with tape. The most useful advice is to heat it up with hair dryer before ripping off.

It's really incredible how you engineer your art. It's so many little parts placed in just the right way. Absolutely gorgeous and inspiring, keep em coming!

*Tip:* before appying the tape to the paper remove a bit of the harshness of the adhesive by tapping it gently to your jeans/t-shirt. Tap two or three times until you see the adhesive it's not that strong and then appy it to the paper. Hope it helps, that's what I always do :)

Yeah, that tape sucks. Consider NICHIBAN tape it comes in 3 different withs.I get mine at St. Louis art supply.

I love the acrylic gouaches tho and they also practically dry the same colour. I could cry when the tape ate your paper😢. I use a heatgun and it hasn’t failed me yet.
