Its highly advisable to remove the brake disks if you are having a hard time, because if you need to push the wheel like that to squish the tire you risk bending them.

Due note my friends so you don't get stranded at 12 at night at a gas station. The batter is VERY SPECIFIC. You, for some reason, can't find regular batteries to replace this from like auto zone or something. No it specifically takes a certain type of head on the battery to work one of the models that does fit the R6 is the YTZ10S model battery for some reason when you look up ok Google for the right battery it isn't correct and gives you just a TZ10S IDK WHY THE Y IS IMPORTANT BUT YEAH

Side note. Place a 2x4 or two under the wheel and when you roll the wheel forward onto the second 2x4 it will line itself up. That way you’re not trying to left the wheel and place the axle at the same time. Keeps everything straight and spacers from falling out. He did mention this towards the back end of the video

Straight to the point, no annoying music or montage, excellent lighting and visibility on what your doing, and clear and concise instructions. Wow....what a rare gem to have stumbled upon. It's like an old school late 2000s YT help vid, but in 2160p as opposed to potato quality xD. Just in time as I am finally deciding to finally bring my mothballed R6 back from the dead. You sir, have earned my like and subscribe.

For first air fill leave the valve out to get a greater flow of air. Those balance rigs are useless.....balance your wheel.....take out the axle and cone.....re check balance.....I bet it shows its out again.

Just saw your video (Sept 2024) the unit is too to tight on the back of the horn. This is causing the inner spring to not vibrate correctly. This over tightening with a ratchet wrench is common. And the performance is being impaired. The solution is to tighten the back post and nut snug... not overtighten. Dealerships use a dap of red Loctite.

Oh wow what a job I’ve had getting the back wheel on. I bought captive wheel spacers to make the job easier. Seriously started to wonder if they were the wrong size because I could not get them inside the swingarm. Just as I thought it wouldn’t happen, it did! Not a job I’m looking forward to again!

@XenaTheQuadCamBikah2 ай бұрын
I don’t think I have patience to do this but I wish I did because my guy just called and said he’s having trouble getting a new tire to bead due to corrosion. They’re aluminum wheels, I take good care of the motorcycle, seldom ride in rain, never soak down the bike with the hose when cleaning, it’s in the garage every night so I can only imagine moisture stuck inside from the goop they use to mount a new tire. I use the same guy every tire change and have had them changed six times so far over my time of owning this bike.

Impressed with you tackling this DYI. I now remember why I pull my wheel and bring it to my local guy. He does it for 50$. Glad to know that I could if I had to do it myself if he changes his price.

Wish i had tbe pocket book to run SC3s. Lol. Im running tbe Rosso 4 Corsas now. But may go to the supercorsa. But our rides in yhe twisties are long. Yesterdays rip was 230 miles snd the ol V4 already eats tires. Id be doing a reae tore every few weeks with the SC3
@_MotoMatt28 күн бұрын
To be honest, the Rosso 4 Corsa is more than 99% of riders will need in the canyon or track. If theyre sliding on those tires, it's due to rider error and bad habits, not the tire. A normal Rosso 4 (non-corsa) is enough to push mid+ pack in the Advanced group at the track. PS - R4C uses SC3 on the sides too

32 should be your hot pressure; not cold.
@dr.speedlemon7393 ай бұрын
32 is cold pressure psi on street tires. I only take hot pressure psi when I’m on slicks and the tires are on warmers. That being said Pirelli sc2 slicks hot psi is 26 rear and 34 front. This my preference on some tracks I’m a 200 lb rider. If the track has a grippier surface I will increase rear tire psi to 27 psi to avoid cold tears, or even switch to an an sc3 slick and remain at 26 psi since it’s a harder compound. Your preferences may very. Dr. Speed Lemon.
@ayowser013 ай бұрын
@dr.speedlemon739 that makes a lot more sense; even the SP v4 suggested hot pressures is 33/30. I wasn't sure of your level of riding. I know more intermdiate to beginner guys prefer higher starting pressures since they don't build as much heat into them.

Shouldn’t you compare Supercorsa SP and not SC with the Q5S? Since Q5S are the more street oriented track tires like supercorsa V4 SP?
@ayowser013 ай бұрын
Sc3 compound is also used on the shoulders of the sp v4/rosso corsa, and 190+ size rosso 4. The sc3 can be used on the streets in good, warm weather.
@dr.speedlemon7393 ай бұрын
I compared these 2 tires because after trying the Q4s by Dunlop I have not been impressed with Dunlops track tires. They take too long to warm up on the street to optimum temperature. The Q3 plus and now the Q5s warm up faster for street use. The sc is a Pirellis track day tire, however they warm up quick and I was impressed with their performance on the street. Of course with better grip and a softer compound they do wear out faster. The sc is also a cheaper tire, and with me price will win out most of the time. I did just purchase some v4 sps. I’ll be sure to do a review of them once I’ve used them.
