DeepSeek said R1 model cost 5.x millions (yeah). But according to Anthropic Dario Amodei, the R&D cost of V3 which R1 was derived from can run as much as 1B. So for training cost, there is not much change here. May be the inference cost is where the actual saving is. Media just parrot the misleading information coming from China. Utilize this knowledge to profit accordingly.

My countries current dollar value against USD plus the transaction fee makes it need a 5% rise just to break even, I bought AMD the other day, I need 7% just to get back what I put in 😂🙄 Joys of living in a small Island country at the bottom of the world with a currently still bad economy 😂

I think NVDA move today driven by short seller. there is no significan increase in bond 2y and 10y, economy data is good, no change price target from 40 wall street brokers. For tariff, it should no direct impact to NVDA because Taiwan and South Korea, NVDA supply chain, not on the list of Trump tariff. Even NVDA would get more revenue if China increase tariff to US. And yesterday NVDA price just increase very little, it's small for profit taking. So there is no reason to NVDA go down like panic rush. It's all from short selling by forced...

There was definitely an uptick in options activity for NVDA yesterday. Call volume certainly dominated. Prepare for much more volatility next Friday 02/07 since most of the options have near-term expiration on that date. One can also infer that to mean better than average volatility in the price movement in the trading days leading up to the options expiration as well.
