I would not extend the wires by a simple solder connection like in this video. the solder could crack over time due to vibrations and temperature fluctuations. Better to use a crimp connection (and maybe solder it also)

The amount of heat used to replace the chips exceeds engine temp. The chips that fail have an actual shelf life. Input peripherals as well as passives in series or parallel with the chips power inputs and outputs is what causes them to fail, not heat. That is a 100% gimmick and way to sell a product you dont actually need. Any EE design engineer understands how a stby circuit wears out a chip life and does not last forever. You all think it's supposed to last forever and that's not possible. The only way for a ecu to last a decent amount of time after failure is to replace the faulty chip and everything in that chips circuit. Including zeners, smt caps, resistors, and so on. The interior of the ecu during rework will cause the flex pc to encounter much, much higher levels of heat than it ever had in your engine. None of the people repairing these ecus are doing it correctly because they don't know what they are actually doing or have the build of materials or know the tolerances of the parts used. They don't. Think like an engineer, not a KZbin channel video! I have personally installed thermistors inside my ECU as well as one on the block, head, radiator, hood, roof and under the ecu. The interior of the ecu never saw the temp of the exterior of cylinder head. Not one person on KZbin has proved any of this and I may have to do it foy you. Best of luck folks!

What about the vibrations? I heard part of the reason they fail is because the engine vibrates a lot and that is bad for the computer.

Unusual, the end of the video shows what appears to be a auto dealership of a dead brand. Who knows the backstory here?

If you still have your original ECM that came with the car, I would recommend eSaab parts, they sell re manufactured units from the same Swedish company that Hedin Parts uses. You provide your ECM in an exchange program then they'll clone the new unit with the tune from your original ECM so it's a plug and play option.
No more engine vibrations on the ECU or excessive heat, very well redesigned. Is the tape TESA?

Great video! That is where the ECM should have been installed from the factory to prevent all these issues we are now having, thanks again.

Incredible restoration !! How did you find such a clean 2005 to start with? The color selection is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Anyone know what a restoration like this costs in Taiwan?

This is the original Saab dealer in Taiwan, they keep running the company even the brand is not producing new car anymore, and they’re still making parts by themselves nowadays
