It's a great explanation, but the graphics do NOT hold up! I just watched a video by the Smithsonian which showed the actual build-up of the shadow in which all the serpent's 'humps' rose up gradually at the same time, from base to top of the rail. This video with the shadow gradually descending the staircase is bogus, if you watch the clouds don't change at all!

Amazing, trek, it looms from the ground up! It give you the feeling of awe, it seemed like every visitor had the sense of it. 1.2 million vistors a year, the Mayans had a very structured civilization. All of the terrain and drive to it is jungle straight out of "Apocalypto".

This site was perhaps the most impressive I've ever visited - anywhere in the world. Fantastic, I was fortunate enough to visit when it was still permitted to climb to the top of the largest temple/pyramid. Wonderful experience.

Knowing that the pyramids were built with slave labor, we need to tear these down. Anyone who still supports these relics is a Latin supremacist.

Yo sabía que la obra indígena titulada "Siete momento en la vida de los mayas" se escenificaba en la comisaría de Xocén, del municipio de Valladolid. Pues es más cercano a Cancún para llevar a los turistas que asisten a esa puesta en escena. No creo equivocarme. Aunque puede ser que la autora de la obra, o del guión, la haya llevado a otro municipio yucateco y así dar a conocer su obra.

I agree with the "like going to hell"...my husband and I BOTH had a very uncomfortable feeling the minute we entered the grounds. The blood shed in this area was extreme to say the least. The guide explained the rituals and acts that would scare anyone.

The worship of these false gods is terrible! Over 100 skeletons have been dredged out of that cenote, many of them children. Please, for mercy's sake, repent all of you of your sins and look to Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can be reconciled to the one true God but through Him.

+sisterinchrist Your god is the worst of them all. Isaiah 45:7 I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things. He claims to form darkness and evil, so no, he isn't a savior, he likes to fuck with people. Stop believing in bullshit.

***** Catholics aren't Christians. We have an objective standard--the Holy Bible--to determine who is and isn't a true Christian. Jesus spoke often on this topic, and the book of 1 John goes into detail. Many of the "heretics" killed by the Roman Catholics were true followers of Christ. Jesus said that unless one is born again, he or she cannot enter the kingdom of God. He did not come into the world to condemn, but to save. Praise God that He loves us, who are deserving of nothing but wrath, and that He paid the debt in full for those who will repent of their sins and believe!
@izzypinedaa9 жыл бұрын
+sisterinchrist Catholics ARE Christians bc Christianity is a, well kind of like a tree and religions such as Catholicism branch off from it, other religions include Mormonism, Lutheran, Protestant, Presbyterian and more.
@melodycypher84929 жыл бұрын
+Izzy Jenae It seems like the 'true' Christian faith is like a white cake, and everyone else tries to improve on it by coming up with yellow cakes nutcakes and fruitcakes and fudgecakes and strawberry cakes and muffins and sweetbreads and soft cookies... Some resemble the white cake, others aren't even remotely close. But the fact is that none of those other cakes are, in fact, _white_ cakes. If that makes any sense. *IMO* The Roman Catholic church stopped being a church when it became a political figure in its own right. Then it became a bureaucratic entity, using religion as a tool the same way Druids and witch doctors used superstition to manipulate the people. True faith is optional and voluntary, and teachers are to guide and enlighten, not indoctrinate or imprison.
@sisterinchrist53249 жыл бұрын
Melody Cypher True Christianity, the "white cake," is very simple, but is impossible without a supernatural working of the Spirit of God to convince an individual of sin and regenerate him or her into a completely new person. The work of God doesn't end there, but continues throughout the individual's life, because without the sustaining Spirit of God, nobody would be able to continue as a Christian. Don't look to the church, cultural Christianity, etc. to find the truth--but go directly to Jesus Christ, the living God! Eternal life is to KNOW Him.
