I have a Hcalory SS2 model, actually two of them. I’m trying to get 2 mother boards and 2 heat sensors. I’ve E-mailed Hcalory, no reply yet.

A couple thousand in this setup vs how many thousand for a decent slide in camper, maybe 200-300 lbs of weight on the bed vs how much weight for a slide in. Ability to store or leave in the vehicle and drive it daily/ for work, hauling for some people who want to still use the truck bed. It’s preference and how you will use the vehicle.

Thanks for putting this video together... It was difficult to see the wattage draw in the eco flow screen... It looks like it went down to 11 watts (time stamp 8:09 )? Is that correct?

How much did it end up using overnight on your ecoflow? My apologies if I missed total usage, was curious what size your ecoflow was as well. I have the 1500 watt goal zero, looks similar

Nice video Hopefully, even though this is a bit of an older post, you are still checking in on it. I see you used a "toolbox" version of a diesel heater to heat your tent. I am looking to use a diesel heater to heat my truck slide-in camper. I have been weighing trying to find a space to install one in/on/under the camper - OR - use a stand alone self-contained unit, like yours, outside, like you demonstrated. One question I have is how do you protect the heater from the elements, like if its is snowing or raining? I do not think the electronics are weather sealed, are they? Thanks so much Doug in western Montana

Anyone know how to prime the pump for the first starting Doesn't say anywhere in the instruction other. models always have some buttons to push to set the pump ticking. to prime the fuel. or I suppose I'll just after keep trying with a few. failed attempts, till the pipe just fills up.

Thanks for the video, Ive been using Diesel heaters for 10 yrs. I find most everyone of them are different when it comes to fine tuning them for best heat and low emissions. What settings do your run the heaters at as far as Hz On low and for high? Thanks for your time. P.S. You do have a Carbon Monoxide detector right ?

I run two of these on a enclosed porch to work in the winter.. the tanks were a pain to keep full... so what I did was 1. make sure I have (2) 5 gallon containers full of diesel. 2. punch a small hole in the vent cap of the heaters tank cap.... make sure it is full to start with....... 3. then ran the same size fuel line threw the cap to the bottom on the heaters tank and sealed it.... 4. I then ran that small little fuel line to one of the 5 gallon container outside.....5. drill a little hole in the top of the 5 gallon container and slide the fuel line to the bottom of the tank....6. now you can do two things.. drill a very small hole in the top of the 5 gallon container to allow air in (vent cap).... it will self syphons from the 5 gallon tank once you start the heaters. or do what I did... got a small eye drop bottle and a piece of mechanic wire and put it in the tank and threw that small vent hole..... this still allows the tank to vent but also is a fuel gauge that I can look over at and see how much is left in the 5 gallon container and when that goes empty .... I simple fill it with the second container and know I have to get diesel within the next several days!

Thanks for sharing your setup! That sounds like a smart way to keep your heaters running without the hassle of constant refills. The fuel gauge idea is pretty clever too. 👍👍This is an inspiration for people who need to know how much oil they have. Thanks again!

They list this unit at 14.9 inches tall. Is that to the highest point? Or just to the end top corner and not including the fuel fill cap and the carrying handle? I need it to fit into my snowmobile ice fishing box and only have slightly over 15" for height.

I've been looking into this as well... 3.5 hose isn't easy to find so I see a lot of people just getting 4-in and using the hose clamps. Or people have been getting a reducer so that way they can use the 3-in hose they already have.
