It was a pleasure knowing you Andy, with plenty of discussions we had whilst being MOT Quality controlled at Avia, RIP mate.

My first 3 1/2 Sport back in the eighties had the standard drop bars and no vibration felt through the grips. I changed the top yoke and fitted Strada bars, the same as the ones you have on this bike, and vibration was felt straight away. It's just the length of your bars accentuating the inherent imbalance of a 60 degree (?) twin configuration. Input on foam grips which helped. Watching this in Sep 2024, sending best wishes in your health battle.

Just remember, everything you helped people with on the channel, that stuff lives forever. Be happy with the evidence of how we all enjoyed sharing what you COULD do, and be satisfied with that legacy, regardless. Sooner or later, the path we all tread leads to the exit door. You've done better than most. And it was beautiful. Shine on, Old Guy.

Valve clearances can have a huge effect on these engines ,if they are too tight to start from as it heats up they can close up but still give an indication of compression when kicked over , when the engine cools down the clearance opens up enough to run for a while until heated up again , carbs on these also can be very prone to blocking in the galleries that supply the emulsion tube .

Hi, I am thinking about buying a Norge 2012 model, I live in Florida and I am wondering how this bike handles hot climates and traffic since it's air cooled. Another concern is reliability. Can you please help me with these concerns? Thanks in advance. Cheers

Hi Everyone, It is with a heavy heart that i inform you all, that Andy has passed away this afternoon. As you knew from his last video he hasn't been well for some time, but this is still a big shock for it to happen so soon. Andy was a really good friend of mine and we travelled thousands of miles on our various bike and every one of those miles in his company was joyous. He was always available to help or give his expert advice to anyone and always with well meaning. He thought so much of The Old Guy In Shed and the comments from you all. Quite often he would talk of his channel as if he knew each and everyone one of you as a friend and was quite proud to have been part of that friendship. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Andy it was a privilege to be a friend.

Oh bugger. Such a lovely fella. Always hoped we’d bump into each other one of these days as we both seemed to shave a love for the same sort of bikes. Came to the Channel because of the Guzzi’s and stayed watching because of Andy. Condolences to family and friends - from Old Guy with another shed ❤

Thank you. Have enjoyed your story's very much. Started my own 'not so old guy in a shed' Moto Guzzi hobby too. Used to have 1 Targa 750 for over 15 years and since Covid and your inspiring example, have 4 to work on and drive as much as i can. Second one a V65SP that i turned into al lovely Cafe Racer, third a Quota that i use to go around Europe with and fourth a very cheap Nevada 750 that i turned into a rough Scrambler. This Scrambler and the V65 fit into the back of our old C8 minivan we use for family holidays, just got back from 12 days in the south of France were i drove the hell out of the Scrambler. It's great fun and a fantastic hobby. Wise people know all good things come to an and but it's always to early. Hope you will find peace and still be able to do a couple of tours. Kind Regards from Holland. In this video you can see how i unload the Scrambler from the minivan. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmbNi62saN1-ac0 And another one driving it in the French Alps near Cunea Pass with our youngest son kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHawn5KYpreledU
