Ive been pondering over buying a Guzzi for years , I've always liked them but never got around to getting one ,always agonising over which model to buy, but your video has pointed me in the right direction for a first Guzzi to sample the brand without spending a fortune. Great video thanks 👍, and you have a new subscriber .

I just watched your video. I know it was a while ago and you might not still have the Norge. I have an opportunity to get the exact same model you have/had, 2016. I love the look and the Moto Guzzi brand. I’m torn between the Norge and a 2016 Triumph Trophy? Same year and mileage. Trophy has more fancy do-dads but Al in all, very similar bikes. Question- I’ve heard about engine heat on the Norge? Also, you look fairly tall so how is the riders triangle on the Norge? I am 6’4” so would I be cramped? Thank you

I am getting back after many years out and at 68 have always fancied a California now one has popped up near me so will go and look, the owner says it is too heavy, Not sure if that will be a problem if you can paddle it but I have never ridden one so this video is valuable to me thanks.

Hello Mister, a question which perhaps you can answer because you are in Italian motorcycles. At a Oldtimer Rallye I saw a MV Agusta 125 and thought by myself that the engine looks like the one of the Gilera 150. Could it be that both used the same engine just Gikera added some hub?

I missed this one when it came out. I thoroughly enjoyed your story! I'm sorry to see that you stopped creating content, but it appears that your health has pushed you into that. I've enjoyed your bike stories, trip stories and watching you take a spanner to your bikes. That racing history of yours was quite a ride! I live across the pond and have always loved motorcycling. It's better than therapy. I'm 66 and retiring at the end of October and plan on spending a lot more time riding and wrenching. You've been an inspiration to me, and I will miss coming into your shed with you.

My first 3 1/2 Sport back in the eighties had the standard drop bars and no vibration felt through the grips. I changed the top yoke and fitted Strada bars, the same as the ones you have on this bike, and vibration was felt straight away. It's just the length of your bars accentuating the inherent imbalance of a 60 degree (?) twin configuration. Input on foam grips which helped. Watching this in Sep 2024, sending best wishes in your health battle.

Just remember, everything you helped people with on the channel, that stuff lives forever. Be happy with the evidence of how we all enjoyed sharing what you COULD do, and be satisfied with that legacy, regardless. Sooner or later, the path we all tread leads to the exit door. You've done better than most. And it was beautiful. Shine on, Old Guy.

Valve clearances can have a huge effect on these engines ,if they are too tight to start from as it heats up they can close up but still give an indication of compression when kicked over , when the engine cools down the clearance opens up enough to run for a while until heated up again , carbs on these also can be very prone to blocking in the galleries that supply the emulsion tube .

Hi, I am thinking about buying a Norge 2012 model, I live in Florida and I am wondering how this bike handles hot climates and traffic since it's air cooled. Another concern is reliability. Can you please help me with these concerns? Thanks in advance. Cheers

Hi Everyone, It is with a heavy heart that i inform you all, that Andy has passed away this afternoon. As you knew from his last video he hasn't been well for some time, but this is still a big shock for it to happen so soon. Andy was a really good friend of mine and we travelled thousands of miles on our various bike and every one of those miles in his company was joyous. He was always available to help or give his expert advice to anyone and always with well meaning. He thought so much of The Old Guy In Shed and the comments from you all. Quite often he would talk of his channel as if he knew each and everyone one of you as a friend and was quite proud to have been part of that friendship. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Andy it was a privilege to be a friend.

Oh bugger. Such a lovely fella. Always hoped we’d bump into each other one of these days as we both seemed to shave a love for the same sort of bikes. Came to the Channel because of the Guzzi’s and stayed watching because of Andy. Condolences to family and friends - from Old Guy with another shed ❤

I only ever talked to him on the phone but he felt like a friend from the first sentence. I join you in sending my condolences at his passing but I am sure that they will be comforted by the memory of a full life well lived. I shall raise a glass to his memory tonight from Pesaro, Italy, where I and my 750 Breva are participating in a wee long event that I'm sure he would have loved.
