I also ordered a 24x32 building, just like yours. I had the concrete put down 24'6" x 32'6". I sure hope the extra 3" around the edges is enough to prevent cracking from the anchors. If I have to, I will have them drill the holes, and leave it, so I can install my own epoxied anchors with all-thread. The broker (my neighbor) also did not write down exactly where I want the garage door, or the man door. He said they do that when they deliver it.
@mrdfarms93736 ай бұрын
Good deal, I am at 11 months with no cracks. I would question the how they intend to install the garage door. The metal header was pre welded to reflect the door placement. Man door was framed out onsite.

@@mrdfarms9373 ...Well, the seller told me they install it where I want when they get here. If that isn't the case, then they'll be hauling all that stuff back, and doing it right. @mrdfarms937311 ай бұрын
@King_TuTT it’s a glorified carport with 2 1/4 inch steel tubing and sheet metal panels. Being realistic, this is meant to be an equipment shed for the farm equipment. In an upper scale EF1 the metal panels may not stay attached. In a higher tornado 🌪️, this building is going to be gone. There’s a price point, you have look at return on investment.
@rogerjohansson3885 Жыл бұрын
Very good Sir. DIY concrete should be part of saving costs. You can put up a metal building which (shouldn't be insulated in your case?) built on a cast - dry stacked shell blocks and the cavities filled with concrete - concrete foundation wall (on concrete footings then) and only have a gravel floor and postpone the casting of the concrete floor inside the building. When you decided on the concrete work for the building. If you want to get up a little higher with the foundation. In order to protect the end of the metal sheet against the ground, when snow blows up against the wall. A good idea, and this also applies to wooden structures built at the time. By casting (or building with concrete and then reinforced vertical and horizontal shell blocks dry stack and fill the cavities with concrete) curb wall, you get a higher interior ceiling height at the same time if you mount the steel metal building on top of the curb wall. You get higher above the ground and protect the plate closest to the ground then. An alternative construction method (24x32 building in size) would have been and less expensive way and DIY then. - By building a Post beam construction with stabilizing batten sides. Then dress the construction (walls as roof) same material with own ordered steel metal roof plate (standing) panel 4 foot wide in size (easiest) you can come down in price vs. (ready bought from supplier) assembled total $11,000 (what you stated You paid for the building complete and set up then by a crew 24x32 in size). Thank You.

Good looking building. I've watched a few other videos for metal buildings where people got shoddy work and are unhappy with their final building. I was nervous about my install until the day it was done. I had a 24x24 with 10' walls and vertical side panels put up about 18 months ago and mine came out great. I did do my homework and research tho.. and the company I finally chose to put my building up.. arranged for me to look at several other buildings they did in my area before I made my decision. I'm happy with mine. Anyway.. congrats on your new workshop.

I can not stand Kubota hydro controls. Some people love them more power to them. When the local school district I worked for bought four BX series tractors, that is when the hate started. All operators were at least 55 years old. They were not beat on just mowing grass and sidewalk snow removal. Deck wheels broke off of two. One developed a rear axle leak. I hated the hydraulics, they do not work very good at idle. And the local dealer really put it to district on replacement parts costs. I know Kubota has a huge following, just my experience.

Just a note of advice. These were very good little tractors. If you ever feel it is losing HP or the hydro is weak start with removing the muffler and operating it again. I have found these units with clogged mufflers and customers always think the engine or hydro is the problem.
@mrdfarms93732 жыл бұрын
@John Bender thanks for the advice. It’s a nice second owner tractor that will mow all day. 16hp on the engine and 13.5 on the PTO, it has it’s limitations. As long as you work within them, everything works out. Looking for a 4 foot rear mower to place on the 3 point. As soon as I do, it’s going to mow around on the farm starting in spring next year. 805 hours and it’s still going strong for a 83-85 1210

It works really well but if you can find a standard one model instead of the hydrostatic version would be best. Mine has been fine other than having to top off the hydraulic fluid bc it leaks some from the old rubber hoses. Depends on what you’re trying to do, the hydrostatic is perfect for lawn mowing where you want you go forward and revered a lot around the house and trees but not the greatest for climbing hills while brush hogging, the radiator gets clogged fast too cutting tall grass so I have to clean that every so often so it stays cool, it does the job great for what it is.
