Did you do your 2 turning chains? You are supposed to have 5 chains left to make the second half of the 5th side.

Make another round of chains adding an extra chain loop every fifth or sixth loop before you start the decreasing rounds.

My husband moved our garden this year. Instead of being in the 'garden area', he put everything in grow bags in our flower bed off our front porch. Too make things easier on me, in case he teaches nights this summer. Since I'm slightly physically disabled. I live in NC in a very ultra Christian area and people freak out when I tell them I'm Pagan. We have 4 dogs and 3 cats and they all know mama is the alpha.

Merry Meet! I just stumbled on your channel and wanted to take the time to say hello and chat a bit. I learned to crochet when I was 38. I had a brain hemorrhage that almost killed me. I lost control of my entire left side and I'm left handed. As I was learning to walk and feed myself, write, basic functions, I was having a hard time with fine motor control. My OT recommend crochet as a way to relearn that muscle control. I had never crochet before, my grandmother didn't have the hobby so I was not exposed to it. I used KZbin and self taught. I practiced for hours a day every day. I could no longer work or walk or run a home so I had lots of time. Turned out I loved crochet and it became my 1st and only hobby, at 39 yrs old. After being wble to practice for 6 hrs a day 7 days a week, I was able to get fairly good and able to move on to largr projects like cardigans, cocoons, sweaters and the like. I have an entire room dedicated to yarn and an addiction to buying yarn. My problem is I can not create as quickly as I can buy it. I look forward to seeing your creations and using it as inspiration for my own. I give away what I make because I refuse to take orders from someone and get pissed off when told yarn is cheap and my time is basically worthless when someone asks for a cardigan but only wants to pay me $20 because that is what Walmart charges. My energy time and love goes into eget I make with my hands and I will not be under valued. I am also a member of the "dark side" so we speak. My home is Goth year round, I follow the pagan calendar but a member of the Satanic Temple and support their efforts to protect our Rights and freedom from Christianity's religious oppression. So now that I've said entirely too much and probably scared you away, I wanted to wish you good luck with your efforts and wish you prosperity.

It seems to me that the feather should go at the point of the hat so it can take the wind . Also , what about switching back and forth between back and front loop to increase the number of horizontal lines .
@fibermagick
@fibermagick 2 жыл бұрын
You can make as many rows as you wish before decreasing. that feather would be spectacular.

Love that you leave the knots exposed on some projects. I love doing that also. Drives my mom crazy but I've knit several small sweaters with exposed knots that had so much personality. I like making shawls with my scraps too.

Stay safe. We're spending this weekend making preps. Gaston is up above Fiona and further east. We're waiting to see if TD 9 turns to Hermine. There are 5 out there, from waves to hurricanes. Ever since my area (inland of southeastern NC) got hit so hard by Mathew I watch the tropics like I used to when I lived in Va Beach.

I have 3 magic balls, 1 pink, 1 purple, 1 blue, odds and ends from where I made a couple of afghans for the kids. I'm making a canning matt right now from leftover cottons from towels, potholders, wash clothes, etc. I want a yarn winder just to cake up those balls and scrap balls.

I refuse to make anything for anyone, that's outside my family. Unless its something I want to do for someone. I'm still new to crochet, so I'm still learning for me. I wont sell my dream catchers either, for me they're gifts.
