I had 4 variances of this era of Holden. All had 308 V8s. The only thing I upgraded was the transmission. The TH400 Auto was just the ticket.

It's absolutely not a 2018… in 2018 there were two significant upgrades, the 1st is IMMEDIATELY apparent from just looking at the front of the vehicle, redesigned to look MUCH better, more masculine and aggressive (more closely matching the Gransport look of the other models in the line), and the second was replacing the very outdated infotainment display and controls with the unit used in the rest of the line… alas they still made you use a physical key (FOB) inserted in the steering column to start the ignition of the car… so odd that they didn't change to the push button ignition of every other care in the line. The 2019 model year was the last of this design and the the Granturismo was absent for a few years until its reintroduction losing the tradition of a naturally aspirated V8, replaced by in in-house, Maserati-designed Twin Turbo V6… the 'Nutteno'. J91 Cars… you don't know your Maseratis… at all.

Ahh brings a tear to my eye!😢 beautiful example of a classic Statesman a credit to you, I had the same model with the 307 chev plus the HJ 308 I ended up swapping it out for a 350 chev made a beautiful beast of it
