I like cigars more in Summer. They just work better in the humidity. Corn cob pipes do well in Summer too but you kinda need to be around the home base.

This is one of my favorite blends. Might now be the best but I always love it and it was the first Virginia blend that got me hooked on Virginias. Can’t beat that sweet honey note

Yes! I just smoked my first bowl of Arrowhead this morning, and it’s a great blend! I love how it maintains its vanilla creamy flavor WHILE allowing you to taste the many different tobaccos in this blend. It’s basically a kitchen sink blend with vanilla topping. But unlike many aromatics, as you make your way through the bowl, you can taste to burley and Virginia, and then you run into some perique, and then the Latakia makes its presence known, etc. Fantastic blend!

I just had a deep wide bowl of it, but I dried it to very low moisture. Man this thing is AMAZING. I feel like the more I dry it the better is tastes. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t go “crispy” per say, but low enough that the strings spring away when I compress a bunch between my fingertips. Anyways. Thanks for the great review, I completely agree with you in this one. Beautiful pipe btw. Looks cozy. Nice large bowl and elegant lines.

I smoke this mainly because it's relatively inexpensive here in germany. I'd prefer something like g.l. pease union square or S.G. Best Brown Flake anyday but it costs twice as much now. My impression is that there's a good amount of casing in all dan tobacco produced flakes that fades until the end of a bowl. That being said i'm glad that there are still some producers left here in germany. Used to live in france where pipe culture is dead.

The bold Kentucky is excellent for blending but yeah to smoke it on its own too heavy for me as well lol. But it’s definitely an excellent blender. Also odf is best in a short bowl or don’t put so much in a deep bowl to avoid the ash taste.

I am much more of a cigar smoker than a pipe smoker but ive really been falling head over heels for english and vapers more than ever before in the last 10 years. Now im thinking ill be an English/Balkan smoker in the winter and Cigars in the summer. I love both so much. Way different tobacco experiences for sure.
