Her jumping out was an issue initially when the ghosts got too close to her, but she got used to them. We did build a 4 foot tall tissue paper fence around the edge of the game to train her to stay in. Surprisingly, the training was minimal and the video of her playing the game was all in one take with no editing. The biggest challenge was the remote control cars (ghosts). They were too fast so we had to weigh them down to slow them and the remote control signals would interfere with each other at times, making them do wacky things. She still loved it and every time she hears a remote control car she comes running thinking it's game time.

Paper fireball is hot glued to a small magnet. Behind the canvas there is a larger magnet with a string hot glued to it (they hold each other in placed against the canvas). The larger magnet sits above a straight piece of thin wood that is also attached to the cardboard. The magnet follows this when you pull the string. It certainly would have been easier to pull the whole box forward and have someone just stand behind and move the magnet without using a string or guide, but we like doing things the hard way. :)

Not sure exactly. I already had a lot of scrap wood, paints and materials lying around, but I would guess about $300-$400 (but would cost a lot more if you didn't already have the necessary tools). I also already had the motors from other projects - the motor controllers were fairly cheap off Amazon. I also already had the rare earth magnets, sono tube and the paper was not too expensive. The Dollar store is a great resource for foam board. Also, could not have done it without our laser printer and a good paper cutter. And the most important tool - HOT GLUE GUN. Crafting tip: the erase button for the hot glue gun is a heat gun.

Great ideas (and we do have a fog machine and lots of LEDs). Hopefully you subscribed so you can follow our builds and give suggestions/feedback.

Pac Man is coming in the next couple weeks. The ghosts are powered by remote control cars that navigate in a cat-sized game maze identical to the original game. She gets treats on the power pellets and I can make the ghosts turn blue using "LUTS" in the free video editor I use. The filming is the hardest part.

I took some pictures of the build along the way, but did not film the details, like many crafting KZbin channels. I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in seeing a video of that and it certainly takes a bit of effort to document the build process. We may do that in the future if people show interest.

The power of her favorite cat food/treats. She loves the games and I always finder her sitting in them waiting for the food to arrive.
