Yes sock knitter also crochet sock person. Crochet it’s toe then up quite fun and you can add crochet cables which I enjoyed plus you can do lace crochet which was a blast! Sock knitting is good just to zone out relax and watch a great movie to, I use the cable sock round needle find this quick, toe up rib down either way is fine. Have a wonderful time knitting and enjoy your lovely warm toasty feet. ❤

It was Winwick Mum that taught me how to knit socks, I’ve made lots of pairs, it’s great fun and once you get the hang of it you can do other patterns available on the Winwick Mum website.

You could have been me talking! 😂 A few years ago I knitted 2 pairs then one half of a sock. Suddenly I thought I’ve had enough promising I’d get back to it. Still haven’t but hopefully your video has inspired me! 🤞Like you I bought loads of lovely wools. Oh dear, why does there have to be so many wonderful crafts to distract me? Help! X

I’m a sock knitter. My favourite way is toe up on magic loop. However my tip for not having only one sock finished can work for any method. I’ve worked 2 at a time on the one needle but don’t enjoy the experience so now I knit the pair in tandem. I have 2 sets of needles and split the yarn in half before I start then cast on the first pair - do a bit, say in my case the toe. Then I cast on the next sock on the second set of needles. Then each time I work on the socks I pick up the one that has the least work on it. When you finish you basically have a pair rather than just one sock. Kay - The crazy sock lady - explains it well as it’s how she knits her socks. Or, the other way, if you find you follow the pretty and end up with a number of single socks is to embrace the odd socks and wear the different ones anyway. Enjoy the sock knitting with your beautiful yarns, I look forward to seeing the twists and turns in the rabbit hole 🧶🧦🐇

Brilliant ideas thank you Lee :). I am curious about the toe up sock - I watched a video by Arne and Carlos the other day and that made me think of trying that way too :). I shall look into the Crazy Sock Lady :)

😼 OOOH! I love all the pretty yarn! Gorgeous colours- do you have two balls each colour? Or is each ball enough to make a pair? 🧶🧦🧶 Is it four candles or fork handles? Hee hee! I adore that tin- I bought an unusual one at the op shop a few days ago- it was only 50c... but it opens from the bottom! Which I didn't even think about the bottom coming off and not the top- I just loved the tin so much! So I am not sure what I will put in it now! lol I could never do the two pair at once either- I am sure my brain would not keep up! Mind you- I don't have the patience to knit either! Like you- I've a 9.5 foot- which makes shoe buying near impossible to get a proper fit- plus mine are wider than what is supposedly 'normal' too! I'm cheering for you to finish that WIP and the pair for your partner! Go Kooky!! :D 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🧦🧦🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊

I love this! After watching your small collage sketchbooks video the other week I've been bitten by the collage bug. Unfortunately, alcohol inks and I do not play well together because I am very sensitive to the smell (I live in a small scent free bubble due to my migraines) and I was so happy to see that you included an example with the high flow acrylic paint! Now I have another idea for "Collage Fodder" as you call it. My plan is to slowly build myself up a small box of papers that I enjoyed making so I can rummage through them and create ✨

No! No no no! I cannot bear to watch you and your creativity any longer- this will be my last watch of your channel!! ______________________________ ------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****** @@ oh. ok- I will continue to watch AND LOVE all you do! But this- this is so much to bear! I had wanted a Big Shot- but never got one... "I don't do papercraft"... not enough to warrant the cost. (Which, literally we did not have the money to spend when they were available.. I kid you not!) I love paper- always have- but I just get too carried away... even worse than fabric- because it is generally more affordable. Takes up less space.. that sort of thing.. but this. THIS!? I didn't know what alcohol inks were before you. I was just looking YESTERDAY at some- and just forced myself to walk away... I am doing sewing now!! - I love to sew... I do NOT want to make cards- I have no one to send them to... no true use for them... no no no.. and now this!? Foil in colours- shiny shiny watercolours? I could cry! Both happy and sad ( poor me- pathetic frustrated) tears! (Don't mind me- I cry over everything.) I just adore your creativity and I am SO thankful you share with us. Not just showing us- but showing us HOW. You did say about acrylic paint being viable- so maybe over the long weekend (Australia Day holiday) I will be able to try! THANK YOU!

Hello there Tori! Hope all is well on your side of the pond today. How about Tobias for the owl? Sounds owl-y to me. I can totally relate to your rather broad approach to the creative world. I too am a multi-craft maker. Seem to be doing a ton of crochet afghans of late. It's the easiest thing to take along for my daily visit with my Mom in her long term care facility. Very soothing to keep these hands busy while I keep her company in the evenings. Love your Anteater figure, very dashing in his jacket and the mohair is divine. It's always such a pleasure to see a Kooky video waiting to be watched. So many interesting and exciting things brewing in the tower. Thank you for sharing all you do. Be well and keep em coming, please and thank you. Hugs from really quite cold Texas.

🐜🐜🐜 Good Monday to you! I was very excited to see you had done an update video- and was greatly rewarded! I was SO excited to see the progress on both the wonderful pixie hat diamonds- and also your circle squares hooded cardi! I KNOW you will finish them as you can- I am impatient is all! LOL I had forgotten about your temperature snake I am sorry to say- but squee'd out loud when I saw him! You are doing so good keeping up your daily addition to him! Yes- good to stuff as you go! The owl gifted to you.... I came up with a very unusual name- but maybe you will consider it? Mantz. Mantz, the Anteater. I saw a few suggestions in the comments that I liked too! My first impression in seeing him was an M name though. No clue where Mantz came from. It's not a name I've heard of before... Mantsy/Mantzy? Not sure you like putting Y's on the ends of names to often. Sometimes no Y makes it a more serious name... less a nickname.. eh? But the suggestion of giving him a famous hypnotists' name... SO good! I, too, had thought of a small- teeny!- ant 'toy' for in Mantz' pocket- maybe three teeny dark red or black pom poms- wool balls might be easier... with two black thread / red thread antennae extending from the head ? Although - that ant farm idea sounded every bit the challenge worth doing if his pocket isn't too small? ( I, personally, am against keeping ants/insects as 'pets' but that is not my business to say- really! They live such short lives in general and doing so behind glass or in a cage seems unkind. Although I am sure anyone who would commit the time to care for them would not mean to be so!) Moving on before I get too in trouble.... I think I am going to try to talk my very talented but needs-to-be-prodded-a-bit husband ( Love you, Honey! and Don't we all sometimes!?)- into participating in the Abstractuary project! He would be very good at it- and has that sort of brain to create things like you! I have forgotten what else i wanted to comment on.. lol Thank you for the catch up - and I am SO glad you are on the right end of that lurgy! Hugs and Hearts!! -Sharon B. in SA ( I don't know how to get my own name choice to replace the one KZbin gave me all those years ago when I first started looking at things!)

Thank you my lovely - Mantz is a superb name and it’s gone into the pot - I think I will write all the suggestions on paper and pull one out xxxx I did toy with making him an Ant friend as opposed to one to snack on hehe xxx
