Realmente cuando Pablo dice anciano sé refiere a maestro de la Toral

Claro, lo más probable is que la palabra anciano se base en la historia de los judíos. Los ancianos en judaísmo eran expertos en la Ley, es decir, Torá. El punto es que tal líder debe tener entendimiento de la palabra de Dios, capaz de estudiar, explicar, y aplicar. Gracias por compartir.

Forgiveness or remission of sins is a freely offered gift that must be recieved in order to be ours. The word " recieve", in the new testaments original Greek means," to take hold of". This is something we must do, not in order to earn remission of sins, but to recieve the free gift. The difference between the old testament believers and those of the new, beginning in Acts 2:38, is that new believers can be born again and the old covenant saints could not. Just as physical birth is the end result of a process, so is spiritual rebirth. Acts 2:38 is that process. Under the old covenant, the Spirit of God would descend upon the tabernacles' Holy Of Holies it then would ascend again at some point. The reason for this, as the writer of Hebrews wrote, was that the blood of animals was ineffective in dealing with " consciousness of sins"( Heb.10:2), which is guilt. As a result ,the old covenant cleansing rites had to be repeated each year. The conscious of sins could only be removed or remitted as the result of the shed blood of Christ. During water baptism, the Holy Spirit circumcises the conscience, removing the guilt from past sins, and restoring it to its' original childlike innocence from the guilt brought on by the commision of wilful sin. This is the " washing of regeneration" of Titus 3:5. The word " regeneration", in the new testaments' original Greek, means to " restore something to its original state". The original state of our conscience is innocent like a childs'. Then the Holy Spirit can dwell in the believer on a permanent basis and is " the anointing that abideth"( 1John 2:27).

Is that why Jesus said 'those who 'believe' and are baptized shall be saved and those who do not shall be condemned'? I guess we have to ask ourselves what does it truly mean to 'believe' or have 'faith'
@robertnieten7259
@robertnieten7259 Ай бұрын
@@natalieamberger2432 Scripturally our faith must be put in action in order to recieve from God. The woman with the blood issue put her faith in action by touching the hem of the Lords' robe and she was healed. The lepers that stood afar off and pleaded with the Lord to help them were told by the Lord to go show themselves to the priests. The Word says that as they were going they were healed. Many times when we read that we must believe "in" or "on" the Lord in order to be saved the original Greek word for "on" or "in" is eis which means "into". This means that we must put our faith in action to be saved or to recieve salvation. The word "recieve" in the original Greek means "to take hold of" not in order to somehow earn something but to recieve the free gift. Lastly, salvation is to be born again and just as natural birth is the end result of a process,so is spiritual rebirth. Acts 2:38 is that process.

@natalieamberger2432 Many times in the Word when it says to believe "in" or "on" Jesus Christ to be saved the original Greek word for "in" and "in" is eis which means into. So we believe into Jesus to be saved ,which indicates a process In Acts ch.19 when Paul told the disciples that John said to believe in the one to come after him. the Word said,"When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus"( Acts ch.19:5). They believed by what they did not just by mentally assenting that they believed.

Couple of things missing without having a whole lot of time to go into but first as in Isaiah chapter 7, he was a master at placing a distant prophecy in a near term prophecy. While warning Ahaz about the impending invasion of Syria and Ephraim he prophesies about our coming Messiah. The second part is one also has to take into account the historical context. Babylonian religion was based on astrology, the sun, moon and stars They would try to turn to those "gods" who would provide no answer. The second application to that prophecy is seen in Revelation when Babylon is again struck down....and the sun moon and stars would give no light. There are many instances in scripture of dual or double fulfillment prophecies..Isaiah is difficult but wonderful :)

@bobyoungministryandmission3072 8 ай бұрын
Thank you for taking time to comment. Your observation about dual prophecy is an important one--dual prophecies are usually recognized because the Bible says "this is that..." Regarding Babylon as an apocalyptic code name in Revelation, do you believe the Isaiah reference and the Revelation reference are to the same city? Most scholars identify Babylon in Revelation as Rome, which did not exist in Isaiah's day.

hmmm I'm still stuggling with this. For example, I think Bob's statement that Lucifer is refering to the king of babylon is not correct. His explanation did not address the phrase earlier in the verse the he fell from Heaven. In the OT the hebrew word "helel" always referred to Lucifer (satan) but I could be wrong. Also Bob didn't address the fact that Babylon would not be inhabited again from generation to generation, that tents would not be pitched there and only wild animals would inhabit it. This is not the case and has never been the case. I also don't buy that the constellations not giving light, sun will be darkened, moon will not give light, are all allegorical either and Bob doesn't provide an explanation for it. Where else in scripture is this imagery used of the celestial things (sun, moon, stars) not shining as being an image of a specific nation's destruction?

@lazybushman, thank you for your response, which gives opportunity to clarify points that were perhaps unclear. For those wishing to study more deeply, many recent editions of Study Bibles reflect and expand the brief video study. Be sure to follow all of the cross references. That Isa. 13-23 are prophecies or oracles about other nations is commonly known, and chap. 13-14 is about Babylon (13:1,17,19). Fell from heaven refers to arrogance (13:11), considering that such kings considered themselves as deity. In this passage is the only OT occurrence of the word heylel, which is derived from halal, with 165 occurrences in the OT. The root verb means to shine, but the most common translation is related to praise (117 times). Most recent translations more correctly translate the word heylel as morning star. The typical exaggeration of Eastern languages explains the "never inhabited" phrase which occurs multiple times in the OT prophets. The reference to the hosts of heaven not giving light is also common (Ex. 10:22, Job 9:7, Isa. 24:23, 34:4, Joel 2, Mark 13/Luke 21, are just a few), foreshadowing the fall of Egypt, all nations, Israel, etc. Please study carefully -- the purpose of the difficult passages series is to provide a beginning point for your own study. Blessings!

@bobyoungministryandmission3072
@bobyoungministryandmission3072 Жыл бұрын
The perfect or the complete is that which was formerly imperfect or incomplete -- specifically, in the context, prophecy and knowledge. The point is that the imperfect prophecy and knowledge available in the gifts would no longer be needed when the complete came. That completeness is now available in the Scriptures.
@dennishagans6339
@dennishagans6339 Жыл бұрын
For me, that which is perfect is come, is the completed word of God with 39 OT books joined with 27 NT books to form one complete bible that is sufficient for all matters of faith and doctrine. But there are those for whom if they accept that it is the completed word of God that is that which is perfect is come and it came when the OT and NT were joined together as one complete book, then tongues have ceased, prophesies have failed and knowledge has vanished away. Since tongues and prophesies are 2 of the 9 gifts of the Spirit it stands to reason that the "knowledge" being spoken of is also one of the 9 gifts, as in the word of knowledge. Do away with tongues and by default you do away with interpretation of tongues, making 4 of the 9 gone. The word of knowledge was only needed during the formation or start of the New Testament church, but once we got the completed word of God, we had in written form all of the word of Knowledge that had been given leading to the completed word of God. Where would the Charismatic church be without tongues, prophesies, and the word of knowledge supposedly operating in their midst? There is not one shred of bible for being slain in the spirit, writhing on the floor like a snake, convulsing, or holy laughter, these things are at best extrabiblical! The Pentecostal church of today does not follow any of the things Paul outlined by The Spirit. 1Co 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 1Co 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. That is not followed, as there are those who are going to speak "in tongues" every service, with no interpreter, if you can't follow the guidelines given by the Holy Ghost then that tells me that it is not of the Holy Ghost. Pentecostal people are supposed to know the scriptures that lend support to what they do, this would include the guidelines!!! This is a hard subject for me, as I attend a pentecostal church, and was where I actually gave my heart and life to Christ, the reason its hard is because we better make absolutely sure when we ascribe something to the Spirit or not from the Spirit because the penalty is that severe. Mar 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: Mar 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: I know of other people from other denominations who do not give this part a second thought and run their mouths without any fear at all, I guess when you believe that you can take the mark of the beast and blaspheme the Holy Ghost and still go to Heaven, then what ever comes up from your heart will come out of your mouth and we will wait and see what becomes of these folks when everything "comes out in the wash"

WOW. My first thought was to give honor to God. That's done primarily through loving Him and obeying His commands. But it also is done when we fail, when we fall short, when we lose our focus on Jesus, when we sin, and then we confess it. Let me give an example. God through the Israelites had utterly destroyed Jericho, perhaps the most well protected city in the world at the time. And then they failed to take puny, little Ai. The lot came to Achan as the one who had caused the failure. Joshua makes an amazing statement to Achan, one that should still reverberate with us to this day. Jos7:19 Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.” We even give glory to God when we confess how far we fall short of His desires for us and how much we desperately need Him.

The "complete" is the completion of that which Paul describes as "incomplete" or partial. Partiality will give way to completeness. In the context, Paul refers to knowledge, prophecy, and the things of spiritual childhood, encouraging the Corinthians to seek maturity rather than grandeur.

I usually compare various English translations to see how specific words have been translated, I also trace the use of the same word in the original language throughout the New Testament (Greek, in this case). In the text of 1 Cor. 13, I was also seeking a translation that made sense in all four occurrences of the same word in the chapter. I hope that makes sense -- I often do my own translation from the original biblical text.

Gracias, mi querido hermano. I love how Heaven sees the Lion of Judah and the root of David -> Rev5:5-6 and one of the elders *said to me, “Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.” And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. Power and glory and honor! But when John looks, he sees a weak lamb, one that was slain. It forces us to re-evaluate our conceptions of weakness and strength, glory, and honor. May we see as Heaven sees.

How convenient of you to stop right at 14. Youre too cowardly to address the following verses; Isaiah 13:16 Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives ravished (shakab). Zechariah 14:2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped (shakab). Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. Our God is a god of rape. And you wont even address this issue. COWARD. PATHETIC

Watchmen should be screaming from the hilltops. As ive watched events unfold over the last ten years i sought out pastors and churches that sensed the urgency i felt with no luck , no offense meant but many were offended. I would think today would be different ,,, but probably not and not in yours . Nobody wants to hear scary stuff. I pray always i don't try to make scripture fit what i want to see ,,, But i do want the truth. Time is short. I pray for dreams from Him all the time and once in a while He gives me something. This was interesting,,,,, fairly early in my most recent walk about 10 years ago I woke one morning with a chapter and verse in my head like nothing before or since. It was Jeremiah 5:28 I didnt know anything particular about that book then or if there even was 28 verses in that chapter but i went straight to it right away. As the years go by i often think about that verse and how appropriate it was for these times and for me at that time. I say to myself I am heavy laden and burdened by the ignorance of the times we are in and furious that so many preachers are just as bad ,,,, I never asked for it but live with it every day. Thank you for your time and i wont bother you anymore, when you lay down tonight do what ill be doing , praying for Him to show you.

Jeremiah's prophecies (oracles) in Jeremiah 46-51 are against the nations surrounding Jerusalem and Judah immediately before the fall of Jerusalem. Do nations today have some of the same characteristics? Yes. Revelation 17-18 is primarily a reference to first century Rome. I do not see that Jeremiah or John were primarily focused on 21st century events. Can the nations of the world be described today in the same language? Yes.

I think Jesus is coming soon , Ezekiel 38 and 39 looks closer with Iran Turkey and Russia meeting together. I think at the same time America falls and will be desolate forever. Thats not a view held by many and why i cant understand. Ive studied this at length. My prayer is the blessed hope on that day as well. The world will go on without America and someone will come to the rescue after the smoke clears. I can see the aliens / fallen angels / being part of the great deception. I understand the connection, the question is, what does the phrase "last days" mean in the book of Isaiah. That the same phrase is used with different meanings at different times in history is not hard to demonstrate, that is, various ones of the Old Testament prophets used the phrase to mean something different than did Jesus or Paul or other New Testament writers.

It is one thing to say, "this what Isaiah was describing." It is another thing to say, "Isaiah's prophecy may have these contemporary applications." I trust that distinction is clear. Old Testament prophecies often had dual fulfillment, the primary reference in the time of the prophet, but New Testament writers pointing to secondary reference or fulfillment.

The enemy of God's people in Isaiah was Babylon of old. In the Revelation, the name Babylon is used as a reference to first-century Rome. That both references refer to enemies of God's people makes them parallel, but that they refer to two different enemies makes this different. Hope this brief explanation answers the question.
