Stock Akrapovic 🤓 sounds pretty good 😬 Michelin Pilot Cup 2 🙂 great performance in the dry. (not so much in the wet)

I am sure that is a GT2 RS 2026 testing engine and running gear with a GT3 RS body expect to see a giant aero package and bigger wheel arches front and rear with as I’ve mentioned before a bigger rear spoiler and DRS aero package front and rear . It will be around 800 bhp plus to enable it together with the said aero package to beat the previous GT2 RS and GT3 RS by at least 20 secs around Nurburgring also using new tyre tech from Michelin for 2026 . It will also have to beat the AMG Mercedes 6:35 I would think 🤔

Vielleicht wird das 8er Face-lift wieder etwas besser. Der Antriebsstrang beim 8er ist schon nicht schlecht. Interieur, Exterieur und infotainment sind einfach eine Katastrophe 🙈

Beim infotainment hab ich Hoffnung, dass das Face-lift nun brauchbar ist. Interieur und Exterieur könnten in die richtige Richtung gehen.

@@Oli_swiss_mk7r Sehe ich auch so, das Interieur wird vermutlich erst mit nächsten Genarationen wieder schicker werden. Ich habe jahrelang den Golf 7 geleast. Einmal einen 8ter geleast. Folge war, aus dem Leasing ausgestiegen und einen Golf7 gekauft.

Mutkurve mit 153 Km/h Aremberg kurve 90 Km/h 73 Km/h im Karussel (da war ja mein Jetta mit 70 PS schenller gewesen 92 Km/h im Karussel und Aremberg 113Km/h)

For the track, the Protrack is the better and cheaper option. An original Pretoria is 1100.- a wheel. For that you get almost a set of Protracks. Tire wise I'm very happy with the Cup 2, at least when it's dry 😁

Great, hope you get a good one 🙂. It's around 400hp. Oil cooler is for sure a good idea, but not mandatory, if you take care of the car and not forcing it to hard when it's hot.

MK7 may need oil cooling. MK7.5 should be sweet. MK7 has a smaller oil cooler, soaks alot more and generally runs with higher operating temps - keep an eye on it but probably needed if ur doing multiple laps back to back. Thats like a potential 75KM of ONNNN the LOUD pedal lol.

@@olivervenner1832 I just knocked on 7.5 on the head pre OPF with akrapovic 😍. The car runs good expect from the brakes it's squeks at low speed and vibrates at higher speed when braking. The performance discs are probably wrapped because there is plenty of brake pad left. Should I straighten the discs and upgrade with other brake pads for track use few laps every 2 months? What is recommended on the brakes deparment help me out please. Right now it has 19inch pretorias with pirello p zeros.

@@hunteRfps i’m no expert by any means or a mechanic haha Do you have upgraded pads at all? If so they will be a higher friction and a heat effected pad which means at low temp the side effect is squeeking. As to the vibration - can’t speak to it at all it could be absolutely anything in that frond end if its the front thats vibrating My brakes I run are zimmerman crossdrilled and slotted OE size discs (considered an upgrade) For pads I run EBC yellows but they’re too high of a coefficient for the street. I would run EBC redstuff pads. Not the cheapest but good for everyday street and can handle some spirited driving too. Best of luck

Not sure I understand all the hate on the Mk 8’s appearance - it is definitely a departure from previous generations but I think it’s a nice contemporary take on the car. I may be biased as a new Mk 8 GTI owner, but I think both the interior & exterior on my S are stunning! Still have love for the older gens too, especially Mk 5 & 6. Planning on tinting the fogs yellow and upgrading to the oem led grille (so I can also tint that yellow 😀)
