The thing you guessed was a filter cap is likely a ferrite choke, helps reject unwanted signal induction to the power.

You've got a solid piece of equipment there. I was a PSD on my fire dept. for a few years and watched the transition from Aga masks to OTS Guardian. The fact that safety and law enforcement agencies are using this speaks volumes. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

I have had only BAD experiences as many others with line 6 products. Be aware. Line 6 does not offer any Customer support. This means when you buy a line 6 product your basically stuck with it . No support , No refunds. Many retailers have stopped offering Line 6 products for this reason. If you buy Line 6 make sure you Register your product and do not wait longer than 30 days to return it. After this time period your screwed. Remember its return via mail with No customer support. Good luck !

with the older transmitter you mentioned, did you mean the plastic G30 transmitter? that one had serious issues with the battery door. i've had my G50 for about a year now and abused it quite a bit in practice and gigs. it uses the same transmitter and its pretty damn robust if given the right protection when using it. i recommend getting a custom transmitter cable off ebay and adjusting the transmitter clip sideways to you strap and tape it in place then secure 2 loop velcros. great review!

ahahah Fuck that shure waist strap thing. I'd rather just get the one that attaches to the back of the guitar strap. If you throw your guitar around like we do a fair bit, that thing would just get in the way and rip the cord out of the jack. I just tape my transmitter at the minute. Thanks for the video though. Really interested in the fact that it can be rack mounted.

The L shape is much, much better for anyone who doesn't already have an angled jack; I've broken many of those line 6 straight cables, but never had a problem with the shure right-angle. You're definitely right to buy one for anything that isn't a front jack though! Thank you for the video sir. Glad someone finally made one.

Just installed my Yoshimura Fender Eliminator Kit. I absolutely couldn't have done it without this video because the instructions suck. lol. BTW, despite watching the video several times before I started, I made the same mistake of cutting the wire to the right signal too short. But, watched what you did, duplicated it and I got it done.
