I'd like to ask you if once you have removed the inflamed disc material, you then substitute it with other matherial in order to keep the height and avoid instability. In the video It seems you put some solution at the end of the aspiration of the disc matherial. Thank you so much! Beatiful work!

“Most of them don’t know half the diagnoses”. Most? That’s a false statement bordering on slanderous. Really reduces your credibility when you say things like this.

I just had L4/L5 fusion and L3,L4,L5 laminectomy. One cage and during surgery there was a dural tear, because of nerves… Anyways how long will it take to heal? It has been 5 weeks and Im horribly sad and my legs are weak and have pretty bad nerve pain, two weeks ago I had epidural injection . Just looking for some hope??? 24:31
@aradeukmedjian59572 күн бұрын
Everyone heals differently. Duran tears like yours are a serious complication of spine surgery and usually occur due to surgeon incompetence or carelessness. I tell everyone to choose your surgeon and surgery very carefully. Deuk Spine Institute does not get dural tears. Avoid complications with Deuk spine institute advanced treatments. If you get a new MRI we can review it to see if we can help you

I’m asking a question???? What part of nerve roots get decompressed with ACDF?
@aradeukmedjian59575 күн бұрын
Most surgeons do not do a decompression when they should. Only 5% of spine surgeons do the procedure correctly. When done correctly the nerve root and spinal cord are decompressed. Hope this helps.
@Lord_Don3 күн бұрын
@aradeukmedjian5957 I thought the decompression occurs when they remove the disc and place the spacers? What more needs to be done
@aradeukmedjian59572 күн бұрын
Most surgeons do not remove the back of the disc or herniation.
@Lord_Don2 күн бұрын
@aradeukmedjian5957 That sounds like they're not moving the compression and are relying on the spacer to create space! They're playing with people's lives and relief if this is true

I have to get an epidural shot. The receptionist called today and said MRI that was scheduled for tomorrow would be cancelled due to insurance, because I already had one earlier this year in like Feb, so the receptionist said the doctor would use that MRI instead to see where she would do the injection. But I'm a little hesitant with that, because I'm in more pain now then I was when that MRI was taken and it's mainly at my bra line (midback) and lower right side at the top of my butt, and the top of my neck, and I keep severe headaches almost like migraines or tension headaches. I've also been diagnosed with scoliosis. Any advice from anyone it will be much appreciated?

Maybe I’m going about this wrong. I have this procedure coming up to hopefully care for my spinal canal stenosis. Today is November 10th 2024 and on the 20th I have the procedure done. Call me skeptical but I’m looking up all the negatives, I’d rather my doctor just sign off on my medical retirement for my local government job but she insists on trying several procedures before accepting defeat. I have been dealing with pain in my left arm since 2019 and my last PCP kept blowing it off with an X-ray and saying I just pulled a muscle. After my near death experience earlier this year, I changed primaries and decided to see if they can figure this out. They going spinal stenosis between c4-6 moderate on my left side. I’ve been to and am still going to PT and pain management, I’m hoping for the best while preparing for the worst. Am I wrong for doing so?

neck pain mid-neck, may also have occipital headaches, cervicobrachial pain, C5 radiculopathy with pinched nerve weakness in arm

I've had a fusion at C5-C6 which then caused the joint above the fusion and below the fusion to fail because of the extra torque put on those joints. So, I am not a big fan of fusion. Replacement disc were inserted above and befow the fusion and they have been there now for about 18 years with zero problems.

Pain management is a racket. The doctors let you suffer until you agree to undergo expensive procedures so they make the most money. If you complain, they’ll cut back your meds and make you suffer even more - until you can’t take it. If you escalate to medical boards you are blamed as a drug-seeking addicted scumbag. It’s a one way street of increasingly costly and risky: steroid injections, ablation, stimulators, and then stabilizing screws. After the pain management crooks have reamed you out and ruined your spine - they hand you off to the surgeons that really up the game with fusions and irreversible procedures that seal your fate of a lifetime of constant, severe pain with no path to success. After all of them have run through you billing out every possible option - they release the drugs you need to avoid jumping off a bridge - or - some just dump you and cut you off from meds to help the pain that they caused. This entire industry is filled with greedy, immoral maggots that prey on people begging for help with their horrific pain.

Some patients comes out fine after these types of surgeries, but unfortunately, some patients don't come out free of pain and well; as for me, I never came out well after my spinal fusion at the L5-S1 back in 2020 and it made my life a living hell day by day, all year around none stop, and now I'm a dependent of a wheelchair for life and loosing my right leg little by little because I have horrible pain and intense numbness and tingling sensation as well; and according to my new MRI results shows my condition is progressing unfortunately; it really sucks living in torment none stop; these are the types of surgeries that people need to really think about it before going into the O.R.!!!

I have been personally doing cervical and lumbar disc replacement for the last 15-20 years. It works wonderfully well in more than 95% of the patients provided your indications are right and your technique is good and the type of implant chosen is of good quality; you seem to be sensationalizing the disc complications. The one complication you have shown in the cervical spine is not even cervical disc replacement. That is an interbody titanium cage used for fusion that has been used wrongly by a surgeon without putting a plate; you know it very well if you are really a spine surgeon, really, so please stop sensationalizing just to get more reviews and more patients. I am getting a little harsh, but this is the reality. Thank you.

You have been doing artificial disc surgery for 15 years. I have been doing TDR for 27years, almost twice as long and over 3,000 surgical cases of disc removal and replacement. In those 3,000 surgeries I have replaced over 8,000 discs. TDR is outdated, dangerous and has serious complications that cause permanent harm to patients. You are promoting a dangerous and unnecessary treatment
@DrRajeshVermaspine22 күн бұрын
I agree to many things you say but your team should have put a right example case. Its not a disc replacement - its a spacer used standalone !!
