If you are a business analyst, you do as you are told by the Project Manager. Think of the PM as the big Daddy and the BA as a child.

thanks for the comment! indeed, it might be the case in some organizations, however, it might also differ depending on the company structure. I'd prefer to think of this collaboration as of professional partnership 🙂 to me it is sth similar to the collaboration between a Project Manager and a Product Manager 😉

I mean, fckups happen whatever our skills or experience are :) it's how we deal with them that matters. But it's always frustrating of course :) Loved the case studies! Multilanguage apps are SUCH a pain! I can certainly feel you there. I loved how you showed your resourcefulness, regardless that it wasn't needed at the time :) So the main lesson is ALWAYS coordinate your actions (and have them approved by!) with the client. We all learn the hard way :)

I haven't heard of 3W+H formula before, but I did hear a similar approach from Adriana Girdler if I'm not mistaken. "Who - What - When - How" I do remember clearly :) it's just thankfully I don't have to use these tricky tactics anymore :)))) P.S. Love the audio in this episode, so clear and good quality 👍

Communication management on projects could be a pain in the neck. What I have done recently, I have collected the Communication Management skills I earned and proved with my experience on REAL projects, and turned into a FORMULA which will help you make sure: ✅ your communication plan WORKS ✅ you get to what you need from the project stakeholders ✅ you do not waste anyone's time on communication Here you go! → 3W + H ← Let me know if you wanna give it a try! 🚀 kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3W0en5sp6p2Zrs

I only had a 1 year experience in tech as a Senior Software Engineer. (Just graduated last year in college) I want to shift into entry level project management role like junior p.m. Is that enough experience for me to apply entry level pm roles? (i just self studied project management and no experience in project management but I had do had experience when I was in college and doing client facing with clients as an employee).

Ahh intros are tricky! And no it's not my inner youtuber speaking now :))) as a youtuber?? i dropped the intros altogether and it's fine, but as a professional? You have to be creative if you meet a conservative person. For all the rest, it's direct and friendly: hi, I'm Olga, I'm your new XYZ, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! :) I'm quite a straightforward ol' lady. P.S. Простая как валенок, будем откровенны)

Loved the episode, Kristina! When I was laid off, I did the wrong thing by not re-thinking my priorities and jumping into the same career path again. The only change I've made was to accept a remote/WFH position. It was a huge jump for me anyways since I've been used to corporate, high-stress environment, but I should've done was to analyze my aspirations and re-think my career entirely. I still think about it, and actually I do research now from time to time to analyze the current situation and understand what I MIGHT do, in case I need to urgently apply anywhere. Great tips and insights, Kristina. Makes us think before making a move. 👊
