Thanks for the video Rudy! What do you think of the new bride? Not sure I like the projection look. Originally the Disneyland Hotel didn't have any towers when it opened shortly after the park. The Sierra, now Adventure tower was built in 1962; expanded 1966, The Marina, now Fantasy tower was built in '70, and Bonita, now Frontier '78.

I think the new bride looks pretty good. Overall it's an improvement over the old bride. I get what you're saying. I'm not 100% convinced with the projection affect

@@rudyhavingfun fantasy was built in 70. I have the same memories. There were a bunch of two story motel style buildings back before Downtown Disney so the property had a different vibe. BTW, staying at the Anaheim Hilton right now. Not sure if you’ve done a video on that one. Kind of a longer walk, but nice room. Thanks again!

Hello Rudy. I stayed at thar motel in late Sept 2024 and paid about 105$ plus taxes per night. the room was super clean and super basic. A comparable hotel would be 200$ nightly. I think it was a 6 night stay and housekeeping tidied the beds and gave fresh towels and soaps every day. My overall rating is 8/10 and for value rating 10/10

Weird to see those kids had an AR-15 and the girl looked like she had some kind of gun pistol in her hand. What were they doing out there? Taking pictures holding assault weapons? Wonder if they were real guns? Should have reported them. But that was 4 yrs ago🤦🏼♂️

They were airsoft guns. They shoot small plastic balls. People use them for competition kinda like paintball.

Hey there. For me personally I've always been a fan of the Tropicana. The other two are cool too but the Tropicana is closest, it's comfy. The rooms were recently updated a few years ago. They also have that nice convenience/ gift shop with a coffee bar.

I am so drawn to this place. I love spooky stuff like this! I guess I shouldn't like it so much considering people in my family were guests there. Photography is one of my hobbies. I love taking photos of creepy buildings. I went there a couple times years apart. It was eerily quiet and haunting. I took photos of the broken windows and creepy doors. I cant believe this is a school. If you look in the windows you can see old beds piled up. I saw writing in dust on the windows. It said something like this is Hell. I thought well someone did that as a joke. I went back years later and that same message was on the window. Is it possible that someone just did that again as a joke...perhaps. I took a photo of it. I wish they would make a documentary about this place. I would love to know more about the people that lived there and what happened to them.

Ya it's a cool spot for sure. As the years pass there is less of the old hospital. If that's a joke whoever did it waited a really long time for the punchline lol. I'm not sure if the is a documentary but the is def a book with lots of info on the hospitals history and a bunch of cool pics. I'd like to go back again eventually to do a follow up vid

Oh geez the room that I stayed in would be tight for 6 people. However it was very clean and the beds were comfy. Def nothing special but for that type/tier and price of hotel I'd give it a solid 8.

We have stayed there many times. I agree with a lot of points. The rooms are aged. I do like the staff. They are great. Tip- every room faces the parking lot so it’s loud when you are trying to sleep. and there is a long walkway that goes across all the rooms so foot/luggage cart traffic is super noisy. The only reason I slept as well as I did was due to being totally zonked from Disneyland. lol After staying at this place about 7 times, we started staying at the Hyaat Regency Garden grove. Farther but much nicer and quieter

This hotel was def not my favorite but had some positives. I still tend to lean towards staying at a place that is closer to the park although I have been branching out recently. Some of the spots like the hyatt you mentioned do have alot to offer. They are usually a much nicer hotel for less $. My biggest hang up staying farther than walking distance is dealing with shuttles. I just don't like shuttles lol.

I really wanted to make a good review but... The front desk agents don't seem to pay attention or acknowledge guest after you've checked in. There is a FREE park and ride lot across the street. (saves you almost $40 a night). The hallway smelled of smoke and urine. The room key kept malfunctioning and required to be set 3 times. The walls were scuffed and dirty with coffee spatter. The outlet on the desk lamp didn't work. There was enough dust to grow corn on the wood room partition. The sheets were FILTHY, but hskp made the bed tight as if there were no issue. The shuttered windows had the screen punched out and on the ground for a smoker. The room was a good size, and there is an ice machine down the hall. I was embarrassed to stay here with my wife for our anniversary. I will NOT be back.

Hey, I appreciated this video! I do prefer to actually see the power plugs available so I know what to prepare for. Some hotel rooms have only traditional outlets while others have upgraded to include usb or other power outlets. Thanks!

@rudyhavingfun I think is a pictures of different locations combined as 1 . The Beverly hills hotel 🏨 the looks more authentic and the outer part of the edifice is a combination of both the Beverly edifice and the one in Camarillo looks almost similar. I think the song hotel California is about a metaphor for different aspects of what it is like living in California from the glamor, the excess ,the dreams and illusions as well as the vanities, the way people view califonia from the outside ,once you are inside it is a hollow place. Thanks Rudy! Stayed at the SunCoast last year for D23. Had a nice view of the 5. It was nice and quite, but the walk to the park/convention center was a bit rough in 102 degree heat. Price was good though.
