Hey, I'm trying I've got another Jay in the pipe works but finding new ones has been increasingly difficult. I'm ALWAYS looking for more Jay is and probably always will be my favorite.

Curious, do you know for sure where and when this show was?

@@reatardlive6203 Its definitely the afternoon before a show at WBNY FM, Buffalo States station recorded in studio and broadcast live with nice crap the college paid for back then...and interviewed by Chuck Barrels of Terminal-Boredom.com fame. Is it definitely 2002?

I played the show later this day and tricked someone ahead of me for merch to trade a new full length for the last "future touch" ep. I simply noted it was a full length with more songs, when I just needed the 12" and was already having a hard time finding it. So I grabbed the new lp (which I ended up getting a significant discount having hung out with them at the station, previous shows, played the same shows a few times including the earliest shows due to big neck buffalo connection... early enough to score the first single off the table when one more show probably was the end of them. This isn't wbny...I took so many pictures but was too nervous about this working without problems and opening for them later on. I'm sure we sucked, we often did when it mattered back then. Anyway I have a flier for the night show which doesn't match with the august date. Was this definitely in August of 02?

they played later that night and i can assure you this set was much less chaotic and smoother. the band was cool about doing it (termbo richie was loved by all). the shows that night was pretty intense...jay was in ill humor by then, broke a few mics, but only Memphis is Dead was out and they had the solid sex lovie doll single as this was an early road show (big neck bart put out the first album) possibly a Rust belt Revolt show where the reatards briefly played their final show and the Lost Sounds were young. that pic is NOT from the radio station, i wish we had taken more but i dont think i even had a cell phone yet and we were worried about technical problems. They claimed they didnt like that first album, but always played a habdful of songs from it. Alicia deserves equal credit...the 3 remaining members have formed Sweet Knives and should be checked out, alicia was a big part of harnessing jay into a songwriter whose songs could be heard...and the synth aspect. too bad they were so volatile...Jay may never have gone solo, and Lost Sounds were really great when they broke up. Find that ep with original version of Plastic Skin. its been reissued and not a 3 digit 7". They had more unreleased songs than proper released tracks on albums...incredibly prolific. (sorry, this is 2 years after the Rust Belt Revolt show in 00, but they came to Buffalo often...even if the coke was the worst in the country)

I'm always trying to find more to upload, but it's been tough finding more that I don't have up already. I may have a few more shows but life has been kicking my ass lately.

Awesome! First time I saw Jay was at Ottobar the following year. Sucks it was the last time as well. It was a special night for me as well.
