graph paper doesn’t count for copyright purposes. it’s not intellectual property. also, look into the various levels of copyright

Try cutting pics from magazines from 50s....that's way harder...too brittle and tear easily. Do a video on that.

Try modge podge and letting it dry thoroughly on back of pages before cutting. Has saved me many images from antique ephemera. Blessings 🙏

Wish I knew what size those tiny postcards were, so I can DIY some. I don't have a printer.

When you are distressing thin paper, back it with one of your cards it's much easier.

After several strokes, I'm 70, and too many seizures to count I've been instructed to get a hobby to stimulate parts of brain I dont usually overwork. You may have helped me focus a bit. Thank you for your beautiful statement pieces.

Your video popped up so I had to check it out. I wanted to thank you for the video and say "good job!". The first comment is quite irritating. I love your style of "fussy cutting." I do my fussy cutting the same way. I think it looks cleaner, even though "some people" believe it's not the "correct" way.

I use tiny cuticle scissors actually using them mostly backwards...very precise cuts

Hi kate, I’ve just found your site and wondered if you ever made a part 3 of this series? Many thanks
@paulasimmons99383 жыл бұрын
Hi Kate. Actual Fussy Cutting is by leaving a very small edge around your subject you're cutting. Check a Dictionary or Google. I know usually everyone has the misconception. Sorry. I know everyone likes to call it Fussy Cutting. Also check with EK Success (Cutter Bee Precision Scissors). Reality call it whatever you wish.

This is a great idea. I just started a glue book which is probably going to be a mixture of collage, junk journal and art journal. I’m hew to this do I don’t have collage techniques yet but I do want to try the horizon and skin ideas you shared!

AWESOME page! I love the minimalist feel of this page. Do you fill the need to add more background or is this a theme book?

Thanks. It is more of a idea book, not much finished pieces. I have a video that I recently made explaining about a collage journal.

To make my collages I literally just put different patterns I find in magazines as a background.. Fussy cut a person, mostly a model with a cool pose.. Then add a few words to the page and I call it a day.. Hope this helps..
