This song is soooooooo beautiful! I love the tone and how it captures a sense of sadness, but most of all, the lyrics. The lyrics are so well-crafted, leading the listener metaphorically and showing how everything in life is beautiful yet temporary. I remember playing this song on repeat when I first heard it on KZbin. It truly humbled me and helped me find the strength to forgive people who hurt me, even in the church. Monday, April 22, 2024 -- 2:22 PM PDT -- I just met Drake at a Nashville-area Musicians Retreat. He was, with a couple exceptions, surrounded by other musicians who are old enough to be his Dad or even Grandpa. Yet he was so gracious. And the songs he sang? Let's just say that it was love at first listen. My friend Rob Frazier introduced him to us all (if there were a finder's fee for making a musical introduction, we'd owe him). I'm 69 years old. i've been a musician all my life (easy to find here on YT). Drake, along with my friend Callan Brown [who just covered my ancient "The Garden Song"] are giving me great hope and blessing that we who were formerly young ... the kinds of songs we write, sing, and care about ... they're not going to die with us as long as THIS is happening.
