The S10 is still a great phone! If only there would be some sort of extended update support you cold get for 100-200€, I would pay that for 2-3 more years of security updates that release every few months. I do not trust custom roms and rooting with unlocked bootloader is not the best for security as well... Just replaced the battery today and waiting for the 100% + 3h 1st charge to complete. Currently looking into getting a proper soldering station and maybe even an hot air station, the phone charges without issues but data transfer via USB got worse and worse. Maybe my daily phone I depend on is not the best to get into hot air soldering though..

I too used this video to replace my screen for my samsung a14. I ordered the new screen from amazon so naturally that meant no instructions or a link/website with a video to walk you through the replacement. I had trouble with alot of the process. For one, the tools were a complete joke and weathered very quickly. I had to use a simple kitchen knife to finally pry the phone open. The battery removal needed more tug than this video showed like many other pieces lol My actual problem came once I got the phone together by like 98% and the screen started spazzing out. Apparently the cover for the bottom area is a tiny pinch of a millimeter off in size. so I didn't even put the screws back in as the initial attempts proved that it was still no room to put everything back together without the screen going haywire. So I did what I had to do considering I really need this phone working when I drive. My car is old, it's cold, and my 4 year old is often with me and I'd hate to be stranded with her in cold without a working phone. i'm proud that I figured it out.
