What size of loops are those in the daisy chain? I thought about ordering some for my beast sticks. Needing to know the size.

Great job Jake! The hunt, the capture, everything!

I love the idea of the minimalist way to carry binos, but I’d be very concerned that when turning to your left (if you’re a right handed shooter) hanging out for a shot, that they’d be dangling close to getting caught in your bowstring.
@joeromesburg13889 күн бұрын
What about your other two sticks? This is one of the biggest challenges I've had with the Carbon SS sticks. No clean way to get them up the tree together since they don't snap/lock together.

I've been noticing in your hunting videos that it looks like you guys like to hunt trees with a lot of cover meaning branches to go around. Any chance you could make a video about that. Getting in them and picking one that will still give shot opportunities. I've saddle hunted now for 2 seasons and I am very much realizing I need to start doing that but I'm not the most graceful climber. 😂 Any tips will be great!

On the no shot 8-pt, you didn't want to try to grunt or snort wheeze him in? If he was really that big, especially if he's going to catch you wind anyways, I would've for sure thrown that out and hoped for a reaction

I enjoy your show, and I love deer hunting, but I would never say this is a miracle! Miracles are performed by the Lord Jesus Christ, not us deer hunters. Amen!

@codyhartfield761518 күн бұрын
Great deer man and glad you found him. I had some of the same issues with the cut on contact head (Magnus black hornet), wound channel wanting to close up and the deer would run few hundred yards even with good shot placement. Had a buddy talk me into trying a grim reaper carnifour with the pro tip, titanium ferrel, indestructible head. My buck I shot in Kansas this year literally died 40 yards from my tree. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Stopped stood for 5 seconds and toppled over stiff legged. I will say you wont always get pass throughs, as my last two I’ve shot with it did not but really didn’t matter as I watched them fall in sight. Of course do your own testing and tinkering as I did. I like how Dudley out it. Would your rather get stabbed with a really sharp pocket knife, or hit a small hatchet. Still needed proof for my self. Kansas is a special place, and can’t wait to return. Thoroughly enjoy the podcast and videos!

Lol "That deer was hit good" yet he ran over a couple hundred yards and was still alive lol... that deer was hit waaaaay forward and probably would have been back chasing doe the next day... good job tho on finishing him off! But if they're hit good they will go down inside of 150 yards...
@StevenSchwartz-eb7jp19 күн бұрын
I wonder if he put it in front of the shoulder on purpose, since he was quartering-to? But I had the same thought-looked way forward.
@jake-bush19 күн бұрын
I completely agree with it being forward. I didn’t see the impact but as he was running away I was looking at him through binos and could see the arrow sticking out right behind the opposite shoulder so I thought it was a great shot. Needless to say I bought glasses last offseason 🤓
