yes, you're right - it's certainly one way of looking at things. but there are infinitely many ways to express yourself with music and this is a small one. there is still enough magic for all time i think.

Yes - just MIDI connection - but you need to set the MIDI channels on the Korg SQ-64 to match the SEQTRAK channels. manual.yamaha.com/mi/de/seqtrak/en/SEQTRAK_UG_En_A0_017.html

​@@telepapi_303 Thanks! I'm having a trouble looking for that specific part in the manual, how do I change the channels correctly? I think I may be in the wrong menu. Is it in the control button? I can see it says the CC channel with each of the 4 knobs on the right but when I try changing them it only lets me change the number next to it. Like it says CC 43 0 for example on one knob and it lets me change the 0 to 1 but not the 43.

​@@JavetonYou need to set the channels via the global button. The drum tracks are quite special cause you need to select a drum track and push the global button twice (until you see in top left screen for example TRACK D-1). There is a main channel and a sub channel for the drum tracks - so set the main channel to "10" or maybe to "---" then you can select for each drum track a different MIDI channel. Hope this helps (:))

Sure - it is not triggered through its own probability seq but instead via iOS external sequencing.

Thanks! I think you can achieve it with the Digitone - it is just another workflow and i love the isomorphic layout on the SQ-64.
