I have made my own independent suspension units with 50mm box, 30mm square section and 18mm 70 shore rubber all pressed in in a home made press, works well, I used silicon spray as a lubricant.

Hi Tony, thank you for sharing as I have been planning to do the same. You mean 18mm diameter for the four rubbers - one per corner of the 30mm square, right? How do you keep them steady or not being pushed while the square thingy is being pressed in?

Could you provide me with some advice if I write you? I have a russian made boat trailer which has the rubber protruding from axle. Are dry rotted and need replacement. Perhaps you can show me the way :).

Hi we trying to do this rubber insert on different application. would you be able to give some idea where can i get the plastic to keep the rubber in place and also the plastic end cap for insert axle (black part shown on the video)

And then after a few years the rubber dry rots and the swingarm rips off. Happened to me a few days ago. Totalled my trailer. Not a very good design if you ask me.
