I did a similar Abus a few weeks ago and used a Y52 blank (which fit all the way)--and then discovered it had only 4 pins.

I’m curious Wuts going on with mine ….i notice in your video when you punch your gripping the vise or the punch itself ? I set it on zero and let the punch scrape the key but my cuts are off by one depth and if I calibrate it it works for that lock but when I cut another key it’s off again so should I be putting tension on something because I notice when I punch the first cut I pushes the key and vise outwards
@JarethGarza4 ай бұрын
@@335135 yea, you grip the mech so its always forcing downward pressure on the depth knob. The key should be cut to code. Not to the lock. So if your keys are not perfect across the entire sc-system then something is wrong. Best SFIC uses a similar knob thats labeled 0-9 like Schlage is. But best depths vary bu .0125 vs schlage .015” so make sure you have the proper gear.
