Police boxes main use was for officers to report in at set times, in the days before radios..... They could have an officer based there at busy times..... the public could not use the box......

Fresh oysters are great but there's always the risk one or more may be not fresh at all and in fact have gone off, sadly. I wasn't impressed with your experience to be honest.

It’s Horrendous…used to be number 1 when I went with my Grandma when I was a little lad… took my two lads last summer for 3 nights … booked out after first night,2 lads had to have counselling after the Experience it was truly awful 😞

The room where the pool tournament was taking place is exactly where they used to hold the snooker qualifying, it's where people like Ronnie o sullivan started his career, won 72 of 74 matches there in his first season, I watched him most nights cost £1

Stayed here last year on a mystery trip with a coach company, never again ! Didn't bother with breakfast the q's were massive ! You could not see out of the windows in our room coz of all the seagull crap and a pair of dirty socks left under the chair, we asked for another room but it was supposed to be fully booked ! Best bit about the trip was on the way home we stopped in Blackpool centre for a couple of hours!

@@KyleMalpas there was something every night we were there but not the singing group. Saw them a couple of times, there was a quiz too. I think there might be something each night but certainly not as early as 7 and not that late either. Might be different in the summer.

@@MargaretWood-z6l It's the modern world Margaret. People are on Ticktock and filming all the time, not to mention cctvs etc. The only way to avoid it is to stay indoors. The restaurants will likely also have cctv. I did once have a lady in my video who asked that I remove her and I did. In fact I took the video down. If anyone complains about being in a video, which by the way I don't go out of my way to video specific people, then I try my best to comply.

Great hotel. The hills and steps were tough with my bad knee but not a big issue. Good food. Good pools. Entertainment. What more do you need?
