Ej22 bottom end is vastly superior to the na 2.5 bottom end. Should've taken ej25 heads and slapped them on the 2.2 bottom end in the first place. That combo eats 20psi all day long!

Hey there I’ve been watching your video on KZbin and my ? is do you have to change the non vvti oil pump to the vvti one in order to use the 36-1 trigger gear?

@@garfieldbrown7372 the vvti oil pump bolts on and it has the mounting hole for the cranksensor then you need the trigger wheel/ timing belt pulley. If you buy a used trigger wheel have someone tig weld the wheel on so it doesn’t separate

Ok so I read your response but my research shows that the 1997 and up non vvti 2jzge engines came with the crank sensor already in the oil pump so I got lucky there but like many others out there we’re trying to find a video or a write up which explains exactly how to connect the micro to the sensor and all the steps taken to get it working properly for example wire polarity color coding etc.

Those pcv hoses go bad all the time, seems like they get cooked easily. I find that they need replacement once a year, or so. Find the best price online, they’re not terribly expensive. And they come with the respective clip.

@djbmw1
@djbmw1 Жыл бұрын
Your vacuum line has a check valve in it that has failed. It also sounds like your vacuum pumps seal is failing. Unfortunately if you didnt also replace these items your new brake booster that you installed a few months ago will prematurely fail as oil will find its way in again.

Make sure you use heater hose when replacing the hard plastic lines that crack on the PCV. And you also might want to give FCP Euro a try for parts and oil, they do lifetime warranty on everything they sell including oil. N63's are known for burning oil, since I've starred running Liquid-Moly oil and they're additive program they have designed for the N63 I don't need to add oil once in the 5000 miles between changes. Something to look into if you're wrenching you it yourself.
