I've seen tabs of this where the main riff is just power chords, but my guitar teacher pointed out that it's a LOT more sophisticated than that.

My version isn't perfect either, but as I've gotten older I realized I have to change things to make them easier on my hands. If I can get it sounding 95% correct, while avoiding 95% of the pain that works for me :)

I'm so sorry unfortunately not, I tend to work things out by ear or I modify tabs online to suit my playing style.

Great cover, how did you nail down the tone? Any idea what original amp and guitar setup was used? Yours sounds close 👍🏻 🎸
@johandelange2 ай бұрын
Thanks man, I can't remember exactly but it defs sounded to me like a single coil sound, little bit of drive and chorus. I think I used a BIAS amp setup

@johandelange4 ай бұрын
Sorry man, I had to work it out by ear and its not 100% perfect. You could try and work from the video and lower the playback speed. Unfortunately I never tabbed it out.

@@johandelange It sounded too good to be an Ibanez stock pup. Evos are good. They handle gain very well. I knew Bobby Pieper, XYZ's first guitarist who used to work on my guitars when he was a tech in L.A. in the late 80s. Great guitar tech, great player. He was a big Seymour Duncan fan. He liked the Distortion which I had him install on several guitars. I've owned a number of DiMarzios too. I just find Duncans easier to work with due to where their mids sit.
