I am new to the KZbin rail vids family

Basically the train is dual voltage (both KV & AC powered train) so what happens is at North Pole Junction (near GW mainline) there is a stop board which says "AC units pan down/up". this instructs the driver to change power supply. That is where the train changes power supply from overhead to 3rd rail or opposite. When I did this journey, I sat in the carriage where the pantograph was and when the train reached the stop board, the pantograph came down with quite a noisy bang/thudding noise.

have you gone to wembley central station to film the pendolinos, it is better cos its virtually underground

I know! Its about 62p a mile! Its one of the most expensive in the country. The increases which are governments fault are out of control and the sadist thing is I couldn't trust this government to run the Island line let alone the whole rail network. How NIR works is beyond me.

I have to agree. I have made that journey a few times it they do charge far too much.

Kenton is one thrilling station, stayed there last weekend and the station was a highlight

Its quite busy between Harrow-on-the-Hill & Baker Street, but its very rural after Moor Park. I think 8 per hour go Uxbridge, 6 to Watford, 2 to Amersham and 2 to Chesham. Plus 2 Chilterns to Alyesbury/Alyesbury Vale Parkway via Amersham. But you would never think its on the Underground network.
