@seamusconley Cool, it's a pleasure. Yeah, definitely do a new recording, I'll be interested to hear how you're playing these days. Do you read music, by any chance, Seamus? I've written this drumbeat, you see, and wonder if you might like to have a go at playing it.

@miblodelcarpio hey thanks for the feedback, it was definitely an "any old thing" type of drum workout, i dont really recall trying hard to fit the time signature into the exact counts, it was more just experimentation within this amazing song. Its pretty wild to think that this video is almost 2 years old, maybe i should upload something a little fresher. have a good one

I first saw this video perhaps a year or so ago, Seamus, and I'm still enjoying it. One criticism is that I'd like more of a sense of it being in 5/4. At times it almost seems like you're not aware of the time signature and so you can't really play with it, but are just doing "any old thing". Wonderful drumming, nevertheless.

Just wanted to say you have a nice taste in music; Tool & Tortoise! Great bands to study, especially for drums. Like your playing style. Oh, and love the kit, especially that snare! I've got a '64 Slingerland with similar wrapping. The snare looks like an old WFL, is it? Looks like gold sparkle wrapping from certain camera angles.

thanks a lot, i appreciate it. i live in new hampshire. and holy shit, thank you for the suggestion. that guy (who i am assuming is the drummer?) is killer. i also noticed a porcupine tree song among your favorites - gavin harrison is incredible. cheers

Good one buddy, great quality electronic music and "drum and bass"-like rythm stuck together very well.
