I don’t like when photographer mislead people by leading them on. What you hide is that first of all the momentum of the picture itself counts a lot before editing. Second, you hide saying that you have already edited the picture according to how you edit your BW. You have to show them how to edit the way you do to apply what you show here. Otherwise it won’t work at all.

That was Great! I usually use the clone stamp tool on the high frequency layer, is that wrong? Why have you stopped making videos?

It would be interesting to review the script with the new features of capture one 23 and the ai masks integrated with the Luma mask to further accelerate the selection of areas where to apply the Burn and the dodge

Do you know how we can download a TRIAL of CaptureOne 13.1.3? That is the version that works for Mac Catalina 10.15.7, which is what I have. But when I try to go download a trial, what I am seeing is only a trial for the current version. Do you know how we can download a TRIAL of CaptureOne 13.1.3?

for me every new layer is slightly whiter no matter what. I'm using the exact same settings as you but screen mode doesn't seem to do the same thing as it did 9 years ago

Not all instant printers are made equal. kzbin.infoUgkx-p39-0aeo2zzlTJzXhwlZ_zUNm1lnIci This one stands head and shoulders above the rest. What makes it so much better than others is the picture quality. They look outstanding. Also, it has a long battery life that gives you plenty of time to print everything you need. I'm impressed with this one.

For adding highlights to hair, I prefer to create a black layer with a color dodge blend mode and brush in the highlights with a medium gray brush at a low flow. This way you don't need to be surgical with the brush in order not to make the texture of the highlights in the hair blotchy (applying a uniform color (via fill layer as you are suggesting) decreases contrast between the individual strands of hair, if that makes sense). Since Color Dodge is basically applying a curves layer with an upward slope, the brighter tones are more affected than the darker tones. At the end you can adjust the layer opacity (and/or blend-if) to fine-tune to taste.

Hey I just wanted to let you know that this tutorial was a huge game changer. Whether I was in Lightroom or Capture One, I always seemed to struggle with getting colors to look right to me. For some reason I just always felt that my Fujifilm Raf files on either program would have a very subtle purple color cast (even with corrected white balance) and I tried everything to achieve a look I wanted. Most people didn't notice it, but I did. I have plenty of knowledge on white balance, shifting separate colors, and using split toning, but none of that got me to an image I was satisfied with. Using the RGB color channels on the Levels panel in Capture One got me in the exact direction I was searching for all these years. You have no idea how much this has helped me get my colors where I'd like them. Thank you very VERY much.
