How far of a walk through the base area to the lifts?

The High Noon Express should help the Northwoods Express with getting people out of Blue Sky Basin and the Legendary Back Bowls. Northwoods also happens to be my favourite high speed six at Vail!

When this was built, it replaced a 1986 Poma first generation high speed quad.

I really liked this gondola! When I rode it last March, it was FAST! It ran at its design speed of 1181 feet per minute!

This lift got replaced by a Leitner-Poma double in 2020. They made the new lift a double with same speed and capacity to maintain character.

Personally I don’t like this lift at all. It’s fairly slow for a detachable, and there is a lot of flat terrain off this lift. Not to mention it’s a required lift if you’re going to and from the backside, so there’s no getting away from this lift, unless you like traversing across flat terrain.

I remember the tragedy of that gondola like it was yesterday, two cars crashed below I believe on the run “Born Free”

Outstanding footage! Also, thank you _very_ much for NOT adding music and/or altering this video in any way! Wow! What a beautiful ride! _Peak 8 SuperConnect_ has some _really_ tall towers! I see that It goes over other lifts, too! That is super cool! I used to ski _Breckenridge Resort_ every winter back in the 1990's and this chairlift didn't exist yet! Neither did _Peak 6_ exist for skiing and snowboarding! You also had to hike ALL THE WAY UP to the chutes and bowls on every peak! I used to LOVE coming here! I miss it SO much! I haven't been in 25 years as of writing this comment! I REALLY HOPE to go back . . . Someday . . . Thank you _very_ much! What a _quality_ video of such a _beautiful_ place! I _hope_ you have a blast at _Breckenridge Resort!_ 🎿👍

Apparently Powderbowl Express is supposed to have a capacity of 3,400 people per hour, and it replaced a 1983 Yan triple.

There was also a Riblet double that suffered a horrible fate. It lasted from 1963 to 1990 when it was unusually tested with the following: Brakes Rollback Oily Rope Tree On Line Fire And Tower Pull. It was severely destroyed. Then replaced with that triple (now at Pine Creek Wyoming)

Why do some gondolas and chairlifts go up on the left side and some on the right? Is this one a left handed lift?

This is the most annoying lift at the Bird, period. Lines are almost always hideously long, and it is still the only way out of MB.
